Motivate Social from your inner self improvement

So you want to be successful (whatever that means to you) and you’ve been to the motivational lectures, seminars and you’ve read the latest books on how to make a billion dollars in 17 seconds!!!

So where’s you billion dollars?

Well, to many of us listen to and read the advice of others but then fail to ACT, so what do you have to do to be successful?

It’s not easy to be successful but the answer to achieving it is in taking action and not just going to another seminar and reading another book before you have actually put something into practice that you have just learnt.

The difference between successful and unsuccessful people is successful people take action and move forward, while unsuccessful people wait for the action to happen around them and stay still.

So what’s my point! After reading this article, do at least one thing, no matter how large or small it is, that moves you closer to achieving your goals. By the way, that one thing cannot be looking for one more tip by reading another success book.

Have you really decided what you want to achieve, have you written it down, dreamed it, desired it, time lined it, broken it up into small achievable steps. If the answer is NO then please do it now then go and start living it step by step, if the answer is YES then what are you doing here reading…go out and DO IT…NOW

It’s up to you….START MOVING AND ACTING ON WHAT YOU KNOW NOW AND NOT WANT YOU MAY KNOW TOMORROW….Good Luck.

  • To many people who use the referent, “I am”, or “I”, they are essentially denoting ego or self. A construct of mind. But for the majority, rarely is mind the one in operational control. The ego/self makes every effort to appear in thoughtful control of every situation presented it. It estimates outer circumstances strategically to determine how to modify its approaches to manipulate results.

Mostly these results are to satisfy some form of pleasure valuation that feeds a habit or addiction of ego. The ego longs for prestige, titles, posturing for appearances sake, to receive favorable responses from others who are just as benighted just as lost in the fog of an unawakened self. It assumes positionalities that further fragments reality as it is, so that reality reflects what ‘it’ is……a projection of the unreal.

This is not to say that one shouldn’t consider themselves beautiful, smart, healthy and whole. But ego doesn’t wish to work with these as perspectives and as a means of demonstration of higher truths. It would rather sell the effect or illusion of such to gain a nothing it believes is something. It seeks applause, admiration and validation of it’s worth from the outer world of reactionary circumstance.

There is one Spiritual Law that reads, “Like attracts like.”

For many who are caught in the ego programming of the restless search for meaning and value based upon the exchange rate of pleasure to and for the ego, there lives end up in painful struggles. They make every attempt to control situations so that they are favorable to their sense of self-esteem, relative to the ego. Some have relationships fall apart, not because there was an absence of communication, but because the ego of the other or themselves can no longer receive pleasure signals in the communication. A pleasure for the ego’s appetites and addictions for more attention. They can no longer manipulate an other’s emotional response to favor them. They move from attraction to attraction with no lasting capacity because ego must be center stage in the other’s considerations, first. A chore even for the most interested of partners.

In the Pathless Path writings, The Microcosm, (a work in progress) I show how easy
it is to participate free from the need of ego identification(s). Easy in respect that the process is direct and to the point, that to come Awake, one doesn’t have to learn anything they don’t already understand or know, but to “unlearn” the collective delusional conclusions that one has been brainwashed and indoctrinated to accept from both school, religion, parents, etc, to the point of becoming a “sim”.

Once participate in pure beingness, in a field of radiant consciousness, and mind will become a powerhouse of a servant, and ego part of an artful show of expression. Once truly awake, one doesn’t live in denial of ego, or attempt to control ego either by negation or forceful means. One finds that ego is a tool for expression in outer life, reflecting and demonstrating inner truths and our authentic connectivity with them. We may still smile at an individual when we don’t feel like it, but it isn’t a means of manipulation for them to favor us or manipulate their consideration of perceiving us as being nice to that we can take advantage of a situation.
No, we smile because we realize the need(s) of the other, for either the feedback of a smile from us, or to reflect outward, our poise with the situation presented, no matter how unpleasant.

Once we are fully participant in and with consciousness, one finds inspiration in the middle of a common ordinary moment. If you can’t find inspiration within the context of day to day life, where will you find it? Can you find inspiration by or in fantasy, and if so, will that fantasy translate as fuel that ignites a Love of the art of life? Or will the constant appetite for gratification of the ego via the senses leave a sense of rapture to build hope for all of your tomorrows?

There is a difference between being awake and being asleep, between being miserable and discovering joy, and the difference is the amount of conscious awareness you are able to be awake to and use. There are two phases to a single dynamic as regards Conscious Awareness. One, we have the origination of it all, Awareness. Two, we have the field of operation in which Awareness manifests ideas into things, Spirit into things like trees, metals, etc, a field in which the knower and the known remain as one even as all of manifestation appears to have variable energy contact with it.. From a graviton pulse vortex to entire world systems, Consciousness is the field in which all live move and have their being.

Everything arises within the field of Consciousness. From the God perspective, universes teeming with life. Life in multiple dimensions, such as a civilization that is able to live on the surface of a sun or star, in a different dimension of phase space. Even the smallest elements like quarks and neutrons, pulse and vibrate according to intelligent design and
patterns. From the human perspective, a moments inspiration results to an idea, that builds in the mind from multiple angles of mental observation. The individual believing in this mental vision engages the mind through physical activity of thinking then acting upon what is thought. The effect or result appears. Computers, automobiles, tri-phase digital picture images from HD televisions, these are the creations of man, and woman, at their level of involvement and abilities with and through Consciousness.

You see, the Divine originates sensation and the objects of sensation, through Awareness and Consciousness.

To close let me pass on to you the words of dear friend Jose Arguelles, from his book “The Mayan Factor”, in it, I found an inspirational view of Awareness and Consciousness in harmonic operation.

    Enjoy.

    From “The Mayan Factor”…

Looking through a vibratory lens of reality rather than an atomistic, The Mayan Factor finds a world of coherence and unity, a resonant matrix within which information transmission is virtually instantaneous. This I call the
‘principle of harmonic resonance’. Resonance means the quality of sounding. To resonate is to reverberate. Reverberation implies give and take, the definition of communication which is always simultaneous and between at least two agents. Any communication implies an exchange of information. Resonance is information. The essence of information, then, it not it’s contents but its resonance. This is why feeling or sensing things is so important.

To sense resonance of incoming information co-creates a resonant field. If we try to conceptualize experience before we have actually resonated with the experience, the field is off or even broken. When people speak of resonance, they also speak of frequencies and tones. Frequency refers to rate of vibration. As everybody knows, there are higher and lower rates of vibration, while all vibration is pulsation of waves. A frequency held for but a single wave-cycle, otherwise known as a beat,
becomes a tone. A tone, then, is any sustained frequency whose level determines which of our sense organs may be affected. Touch has its tones, perfume is a tone of the sense field of smell, even mind experiences its high-frequency sensory tones. Inclusive of all sense-fields, harmony is the synchronization of two or more tones. The skill in synchronizing tones and synthesizing sense-fields is an art as much as a science.

For a moment, picture, a science and art, that has with it the capacity to identify consciousness with resonance and ride the frequencies of different levels of reality.

Universe is mind, and the different qualities of mind can be described by simple, whole-number relations. What we call matter represents different tones holding together as a harmonic frequency spectrum perceptible to the sense of touch. Like all other resonant experiences, matter can be represented by whole-number relations. As any mathematician knows, number itself is a purely mental structure. A further corollary is the universality of consciousness. In actuality there is only consciousness—intelligent energy—be it a piece of quartz, an ant, a human, or something beyond. Everything is alive. There is nothing without feeling. This field of reality is saturated with purpose. In this view, the form of things is the shape of Consciousness at a particular resonant frequency juncture. A resonant frequency juncture can be defined as the synchronization of two or more tonal spectrums which join momentary need with universal purpose. – Jose Arguelles

Hopefully you can see how rich of an experience life is. And only you can make it richer by being Awake.

  • Get Organized Today!

We all know how much easier it is to work when we’re organized, but having the motivation to get organized is a little hard for many to come by. This is because disorganization leads to feelings of being overwhelmed, and when we’re overwhelmed, it is hard to think clearly on any one task let alone change the way we are used to doing things in the name of organization.

It’s a vicious cycle really. If you could get organized, the feelings of being overwhelmed would fade away and your productivity would go up. But you cannot take the time to get organized if you are completely overwhelmed and behind in production. Hence the vicious cycle.

This is why many people look to professionals to help them sort out their cluttered mess. While advisors can be a great asset to have, you don’t necessarily have to have one to get things straightened out in your life and in your office. All you need is one day. Only one day to get it all together and start fresh. That’s not so difficult. You can use a personal day, vacation day, or the weekend to do it. You may even be able to talk your boss into giving you a break from your regular duties while on the clock to get it all done.

The first thing that you need to do to get organized is to clean up your work area. Get rid of any trash and papers that you do not need. Then, organize the ones that you do need into a filing system that is easy to maintain. Keep in mind that you do not have to use a traditional filing system if it is likely that you will not stick to it. You can create a system that makes sense to you and is easy to follow.

Never underestimate the importance of calendars, planners, address books, and “to do” lists. Having your workload in writing in front of you allows you to better plan your day. It also prevents you from taking on more work than you can handle. Start or end each day by writing a list of the things that you need to accomplish. Put the most important things at the top of the list along with the tasks you didn’t get finished from the previous day and work through the list as the day goes on. This will keep you focused to the tasks that need to be accomplished and prevent you from wasting time on unimportant tasks.

Once you have implemented a filing and scheduling system, stick to it. Don’t allow papers to pile up on your desk or post it appointments to get stuck to your shoe. Stay organized and take a moment each day to clean and organize your work area. Do this for a few days and you will find that you have a lot more time to actually work instead of looking for your work.

  • Emotions- Channels of Distortion

Are emotions a natural thing to have in the human life?

At least the folklore says so.

Even psychology seems to be of the same opinion.

Abnormal psychology deals with the imbalance in the emotional structure of a man.

Psychiatry tries to shun this excited or depressed imbalance through prescribing chemicals in the form of drugs which do nothing more than temporarily change the chemical structure of the neuro-secretions emanating from the central nervous system.

What do we mean by the balance of mind?

For answering this, we shall need going into what, in essence, emotions are.

Are we born with them, like we are born with instincts?

I do not think we are!

It is later in life that we learn feeling emotional as a response (or reaction!) to various psycho-socio-physical stimuli impinging on our mind-body system.

What are the instincts we are born with?

They are hunger, thirst, breath, movement, defecation, urination, perception, interaction, caressing (and being caressed!), sex (yes, we are very much ‘born’ with it – that is why every toddler starts playing with her/his genitals quite early in life and for this they are not rebuked less by their mothers all the world over!), and curiosity.

All the animals also seem to have all these instincts but for one, that is, curiosity.

Human kids have curiosity because their brain (gray matter) is much more developed than that of animals.

The human toddler starts exploring the world ‘in’ and ‘around’ her/himself.

The animal toddler does not explore the world ‘in’, but does so only ‘around’ itself.

The animal lives more so in the instinctual world only, all through its life.

But we, the humans, are different.

    We are curious.

Curiosity is one of our instincts.

Every child tends to explore as much as possible through any and every means at her/his disposal.

That is what develops our brain through all the years of learning till we turn adult, and it is this only that turns us into being intellectual beings rather than remaining mere instinctual animals.

Since we are curious, we tend to explore.

    We interact.

But we are not allowed to!

At least we are not allowed to freely do so, without conditions.

The conditions are partly psychological, and partly social.

The toddler starts playing with her/his genitals in order to explore them as well as derive the sexual pleasure out of manipulating them physically.

The mother comes from somewhere out and sees the kid doing this so-called ‘bad thing’.

    “Bad thing!” – she screams.

The kid gets the shock of her/ his life. S/he does not yet know the language, still s/he gets the sense of what the mother is stopping her/him from, simply by the tone of her voice and her body-language. S/he shudders, compresses her/his body muscles and squeezes her/his pelvis ‘in’. The very action of squeezing the pelvis ‘in’ bereaves her/him of her/his sexual sensitivity and consequently s/he takes her/his hand away from the genitals.

The mother is happy; says, “Good girl!” – and leaves the room.

But the sensitivities cannot be killed so fast. Again the kid leaves her/his muscles relaxed and pelvis stretched; and again after some time her/his sexual sensitivity turns her exploring her/his genitals.

Again the mother comes in and…

The whole scene gets many times repeated before the kid turns keeping her/his pelvis squeezed into a habit; and the consequent lack of curious exploration, her/his lifestyle!

A moral over-dog takes birth inside the mind!

The whole job of this moral over-dog is to tame the instincts slave in an anti-natural way in order to conform to the cultural, social and psychological pressures of asexual behavior, toilet-training, social protocol, and inclusion into the rat-race by hammering those down onto her/his mind time and again, and again, and again…

A little coercive society along with all its moral and anti-natural value-system gets permanently nailed down inside the kid’s mind.

The curious scientist in her/him gets killed.

The aesthetic artist that was very much enjoying till now, goes to sleep and starts dreaming.

O my God, the emotion has taken its birth!

The dream of enjoying is what emotions are!

Dreams may be wishful, or else may be nightmares.

Wishful dreams fake enjoyment being had right then and there, whereas nightmares are either guilt felt over fake enjoyment, or the tension of not being able to get the enjoyment at all!

The whining under-dog, in the name of emotions, takes its birth as a reaction to the high-handed moral growling of the over-dog that the little coercive society nailed inside the mind is!

Same with emotions, as with dreams – they are either wishful or nightmarish!

They may be positive or they may be negative too.

Whatever, but the positive sentiments are not the real enjoyment of life – they are either desires (greed!) of enjoyment; or else the hope of the desires getting fulfilled as enjoyment in near future.

Also, the negative sentiments are not the real pain of life – they are either a sense of security (turning one a selfish miser!); or else the fear of losing what one has in near future, and the fear of consequent pain arising out of it.

In nutshell, emotions are the distorted versions of instinctual enjoyment of life.

    Distortions can never be healthy.

But people say, ”No, but what shall we be left with if emotions are no more there in life? It will go so dull and boring! We shall turn into machines if emotions are no more there in us. There will be left no difference between the animals and us.”

They do not know what they have lost for being what they are today – the emotional beings!

They have paid a very high price for something fake with something real!

    They have lost their energy.

They have traded their passion with their emotions.

    The two never stay together.

If emotions are, passion is not!

When emotions are not, only then passion is!

What is this passion, different from emotions – you will ask.

  • American Societal Value System

“America today is in a virtue deficit where our standards of right and wrong have become increasingly hazy. Out of this haze have arisen great problems within our society including: hostility towards organized religion, sexual exploitation, the homosexual agenda, the demise of the family, and the culture of death.”
    –Gary Bauer
    President, American Values.org

Similar to the military value system, most of what American society believes to be right and wrong (i.e. morals) is defined by our laws. Centuries ago, our Founders boldly proclaimed to the world a distinctly American faith in democracy; a faith rooted in the self-evident truths that “all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator”, this statement alone denotes Judeo-Christian roots.

‘Public Agenda’ is an organization that was founded to help our nation’s leaders better understand the public’s point of view as well as assist citizens in understanding critical policy issues. In 2002, Public Agenda conducted a detailed study of more than 1,600 American parents with children between the ages of 5 and 17. The study focused on a preeminent challenge of parenting: “how to raise children who grow up to be responsible, honest, humane, and considerate adults.” This study carefully looked at issues facing today’s families and the task of raising children of good character. “From every direction, today’s popular culture seems bent on emphasizing the violent, irresponsible, and squalid aspects of life. Nearly half of parents (49%) say they worry more about raising a child who is well-behaved and has good values, than about providing for their child’s health and physical well-being (23%), although a quarter (25%) of parents say they worry about both.” (Johnson, 2002) These statistics are a testament to the impact of a decaying moral society that has abandoned its traditional value system.

  • How many times have you heard someone say the words, “It happened all of a sudden?” In my career as a manager, executive, consultant, psychologist and even a two-year stint as a human resource manager I can’t begin to count the number of times people have complained that something happened “all of a sudden.” Do things really happen suddenly, or do they usually begin slowly over time, gathering momentum. For example, consider performance problems with employees—do they begin “all of a sudden” or do they usually start gradually as small disturbances and gain seriousness and complexity over time? If you’ve been a manager for even a few months I’m sure you’ll agree that few problems actually happen “all of a sudden.” Most escalate over time gaining not only complexity, but also seriousness.

So why then do so many managers claim that performance problems happen “all of sudden?” In my experience it happens because of three reasons. The first is that some managers are literally unaware of their employees’ problems. Perhaps they have distanced themselves too much from their employees to be aware of what is going on, or they have turned a “blind-eye” to what is really going on in the work place. In any event, a manager must be close enough to his or her employees to know what is going on. Without that closeness, there is little chance of preventing small problems from festering into large ones.

The second reason is managers who believe that problems can fix themselves if they left alone. This is called problem self-resolution. Now think about it, how many times in the day-to-day managing of people can you turn your back on a problem and expect it to go a way? Granted, in some rare situations some problems may fix themselves, but in most situations what happens to the problem? Doesn’t it begin to grow? Doesn’t it get more complex? Doesn’t it begin to involve more people and more processes? The truth is that problem self-resolution is a cancer that can be the downfall of a manager. It’s necessary and important to delegate the appropriate tools and responsibilities to your employees. You cannot sit back and merely hope that the problem will somehow magically fix itself. That rarely ever happens in business today.

The third reason is managers whose temperament is non-confrontational, thus they are fearful of having conflict with employees. So as a result they tend to avoid situations where they need to discuss performance problems with employees. These situations avoided over time can cause minor problems to grow into major problems. Confronting a small issue with an employee is much easier and far more effective than procrastinating then having to confront that same employee with a large issue at a later time. Part of being a manager is having the courage to confront issues when it’s timely, necessary and appropriate.

So what does this mean? And how does this relate to you? It’s far easier to deal with and resolve small problems than it is big problems. Small problems typically involve a few people and one or two processes. Large problems involve many people and a lot of processes. Many times a small problem can be resolved in a few minutes through performance coaching, but a big problem can be so complex that it can literally take weeks, months and even years to resolve. Then, consider of the cost of resolution. Waiting, for whatever reason, can be very expensive.

From my experience with retails stores, I’ve observed how front-end bag expense can begin as a small problem as baggers and checkers fail to pay close attention to the number of bags used for each order. If items per bag decrease over a four-month period from an average of 6.5 items per bag to 5.5 items per bag, the front-end manager has a small problem. But if he or she ignores the problem for any of the three reasons described above the problem could grow to a larger problem in succeeding months. If the problem did grow to an average of 4.5 items per bag, then the front-end manager would have a substantially larger problem to solve, which would take a longer time to fix.

If the front-end manager was monitoring items per bag on a regular basis and were aware of the decline from 6.5 to 6.0, then he or she could begin an intervention to identify the causes of the performance problem and solve it early, rather than waiting until the problem was much larger. Waiting several months while even more people form bad habits would make the solution much more difficult as compared to jumping in early and resolving the problem while it was in its infancy. Stated in another way: early can be simple, quick and cheap; later is often complex, difficult and expensive.

It’s been my experience that, “There ain’t no such thing as all of a sudden.” Very few performance problems begin as large problems. Most begin as manageable issues solved by simple performance coaching. I liked the statement so much that I’ve quoted it many times in the years since that class. The statement is right: “There ain’t no such thing as all of a sudden.” In management, problems tend to begin as small manageable issues. Then, if left alone, and unsolved they grow into major problems that drive managers nuts. As managers it’s our responsibility to identify those problems while they are small and in their infancy and then deal with them quickly and decisively. That’s what makes good
    managers great.

  • The most important part of using and applying the law of attraction is your ability to create and maintain positive emotions. In a world that is so demanding, so over bearing, so stressful, the most difficult thing for many people is their ability to create and maintain positive emotions on a regular consistent basis. In order for you to get what you want as quickly as possible, it is essential for you to be able to keep yourself in a positive emotional state regardless of what happens. The good news is that the more you practice this the better you get at it, and the better you get at maintaining positive emotions the quicker the universe will deliver your every desire.

The problem with most people is that they allow their current situation or circumstances to dictate their emotional state. So many people simply respond emotionally to what they are currently experiencing. They get a bill in the mail that they are not sure how they are going to pay and they let the stress and worry of it control their emotions. They have an argument with someone and that creates negative emotions. The biggest drain for people are those things that we don’t know what to do. There is an old Chinese saying that goes, “when something comes up and you don’t know what to do about it, don’t worry about it. When something comes up and you do know what to do about it, don’t worry about it.” The point here is that if you don’t know what to do, don’t worry because the answer will come. If there is nothing you can do about it, don’t worry about it because there is nothing you can do. If you do know what to do, you will do it and everything will be just fine any way. We always find answers and ways, and worrying about things doesn’t help. It only makes things more stressful.

Things will always happen that are not what we want. There will always be situations that don’t go according to plan. There will always be people who upset us or cause negatively desired results in our lives. The trick is to keep our mind and our emotions off of those things. Learn to put your mind on the things you want and desire and keep it there. Imagine everything as though it were exactly the way you want it to be and hold on to those positive emotions. It really isn’t about keeping yourself in a positive state as much as it is about your ability to not let negative things into your little bubble of the world. The more you are able to keep those things in the world outside of yourself and in the world, the more you will be able to maintain that positive emotional state. It is when we bring other people’s problems or situations into our bubble that we feel icky. Think about it. When someone blows up at you, who is it that really has the problem? The other person. It is their problem, let them carry it. Don’t make it yours.

Learn to find ways to put yourself in that positive emotional state. Carry pictures around with you that you can look at on a regular basis when you find yourself drifting toward a negative attitude. Carry inspirational quotes. Take a walk during your lunch break. Do whatever it takes to keep yourself in a positive emotional state. Learn what things bring joy and happiness to you and what things excite you, and learn to use those tools to keep yourself where you need to be. Learn to recognize that your current situation and position in life is not where you will be, just where you are right now. If you hate the job you have, and are taking steps to improve things and get away from that job, then know that your current job is just a temporary stop on your journey. Remember that nothing lasts forever, and your current circumstances will one day pass, just as the circumstances of yesterday that you were worried about passed and made way for today.

  • Do you have goals in your life that you want to achieve but you are just not getting their fast enough? I know a little bit about goal setting and I know a little bit about achieving goals and I know a little bit about surpassing the goals that I set in order to achieve early victory and even impress myself. Of course I am an overachiever and a perpetual goal setter, but I have some secrets that work for me and I know they can work for you.

Recently I was asked by a gentleman to analyze how I move forward to get what I want? Indeed desire is the first step in goal setting and it makes sense to understand the power of human intent to achieve those things you wish to in life.

My goal is to write a thousands of online articles and put them online. My goal is to take my knowledge and give it to the world and 18 months ago I set out to write 5000 articles in three years. By the end of the first six months I had written over 2000 articles and therefore I decided that I wanted to try to write 4000 articles by the first year and 5000 articles within 18 months.

Each time that it looked like I was getting close to my goal and I was surpassing my estimated pace of my three year time period I decided to raise the article count. It has been almost 20 months since I started and this is article 9930. My goal now is to write 10,000 articles before October 31, 2006. At the time I wrote this article it was October 10 and with only 70 articles to go I wish to finish this goal now by October 14.

In analyzing how I move forward to get to my goals it appears that I set goals that are reasonable and possible but very difficult. Then I set a timeline, which is achievable but highly unlikely. Next I work towards that goal and as I get closer and get excited to see I am achieving it I get more inclined to pick up the pace. As I see light at the end of the tunnel I make the tunnel longer and since I am use to running faster I hold that pace.

It is amazing what you can do when you set goals and start achieving them in rapid succession and when you find that you are doing good you will also note that it feels good to achieve your goals and human intent will keep you going. If you will take a look at the last goal that you have achieved or one you are working on now and break it down and analyze it you may learn a lot about how you achieve things or go about getting your objectives accomplished.

Although each person is a little different in the way they go about achieving and accomplishing their goals you might like to realize that human intent is an extremely incredible thing and it is something that the human species has that allows us to go beyond what is seemingly impossible. I know you can accomplish your goals if you will only use the tools that you have available and analyze closely how they work best for you.

How Do I Contribute To Solve The Community Problems

“I Am Only one. But still, I am one. I cannot do every thing, but still I can do something, and because I cannot do every thing, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”

    “EDWARD EVERETTHALE”

The major community problem for which I have contributed my efforts is the problem of “THE RIGHTS OF SPECIAL PEOPLE”. I have worked as a teaching/counseling/social with the “Special People” of our “Community” since 7 years. Since from my childhood, I had an intention to social work for the special people, because I had a natural bond of attachment with them. To accomplish my wish, I chose “SPECIAL PEOPLE COMMITTEE” of our community so that I could bring change in the their lives.

I dealt with all type of students from the category of Profound, Severe, Moderate, Mild, but specially I have worked with “The Border Line” students who want their rights; Who face the major problem in every society in every community; Who wants their creativity to explore in front of others; Who awaits for the love from others; Who wants other to accept them as a Normal Being.

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step”. “Chinese proverb”
And that chance of Volunteer service for these beloved special children was the first step of mine towards my journey to work for their RIGHTS.
“I believe that every individual can make a difference”.

I thanks God that these lovely students trusted me, gave me the bond of relationship, accepted me whole-heartedly in just my first year of Volunteer Service. They shared all of their problems with me and I thank God for giving me the special power for being accepted by them.
I have heard their voices, their shivered Pleadings, their wishes, their expectations. But still, they need every one in the society to hear them, to care them and to love them.

I had even faced many problems from our community while working for their RIGHTS.

I can’t do every thing in this world but yes I have brought a little change in their lives, which is the big reward for me.

On this international plat form I want to raise their voice.

I want to be their voice to tell you all the problems, which all the special people are facing. The problems, which need to be resolute, could only be possible by joining hands together.

The following are the major problems, which my community special people of “border line” category are facing, which has been identified by me are:

    · They want to get proper EDUCATION.

    · They want to get their RIGHTS.

    · They want others to TREAT THEM PROPERLY.

    · They want every one to stop calling them “SPECIAL”.

    · They want others to treat them as “NORMAL HUMAN BEING OF THE SOCIETY”.

    · They want to Marry.

    · They want FREEDOM OF SPEECH.

    · They want JOBS to begin their INDEPENDENT LIFE.

    · They want SOCIAL SECURITY.

    · They want to participate in INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS.
    · They want the PLATFORMS to show their talent to this world.
    · They want every one in the society, to MAKE THEM THEIR FRIENDS.

I want to share my experiences with you, that in what way I have helped few of my community special students of “borderline” to bring change in their lives and I would like to share my efforts and my initiative with you.

FIRSTLY, in order to aware community people about their problems, I worked with special children and identified the problems, which they are facing.
Next, I wrote an article ” I ADORE SPECIAL PEOPLE WHY DON’T YOU?”

In which I wrote about their rights and distributed in it to the community people so that they can be made aware about their personal needs and their rights. People, specially the younger members of our community showed positive gestures and showed their keen interest to know more about them after reading my Article.

In this way I made the people of my community well aware about their needs and expectations from the society.

Next, I participated in the workshops in which I presented speech on special people in front of their parents. I faced many problems because I came to know that many of the special students were dishearten because their parents do not understand them.

Next, I personally visited many of the parents of my community and made them well aware about their wants, needs, and expectations from their family members.

I AM ADDING SOME OF THE EXAMPLES OF MY BELOVED SPECIAL CHILDREN, WHO’S LIFE, HAS BROUGHT LITTLE CHANGE THROUGH MY EFFORTS AND NOW THEY ARE LEADING A GOOD LIFE WITH LOTS OF CONFIDENCE.

Their weeps, their words, their expressions, their gestures; all had made me realized just one thing that still in Pakistan in all the major communities, SPECIAL PEOPLE ARE NOT TREATED AS A NORMAL HUMAN BEING.
Even though I know that they are the special stars of our society. They have made our nation proud too by participating in Special Olympics Worldwide in 2004,but still they re-bounded with loads of pressures.
I have brought changes in few lives, but the question is, who will solve the problems and issues of all the special people of every community? Who will guide them?

Following are my students, who have solved many of their problems through my efforts and counseling.

I am just quoting examples of few of my students.

Name will not be disclosed; therefore I am using ALPHABETIC REPRESENTATIONS on the behalf of their names.

One of the experiences, which I would like to share, is the experience of one beautiful girl .

“A” is 25 years old. Her parents and family friends always discouraged her in many of her personal decisions. She is a “Border line” female student. Her family treated her very badly during her early age.

Just because of seeing the family fights since from her early age, she had her first Epilepsy attack at the age of 10. She bears many hardships and had face many physical punishment from her family. She was the first student of mine whom I studied very carefully. She wanted to participate in sports.

For that, I went to her family, talked with them and made them realized about their insanity, which made her daughter fearful. I told her family about the talents, which their daughter had. She was medically treated for her epilepsy and free medicines were provided to her by MY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL. I trained her for sports. From that day, her life changed and after continuous efforts and with her family positive gesture, she participated in “The World Olympics” in 2004,and won medal too. The smile, which was seen on her face, was the first victory of my effort, which made me realize that at least I have brought a little change in her life. She firstly shared her victory with me, which was the precious virtual reward for me.

NOW, she is working at her neighbor’s house and earn around 100$ a month. She has her own mobile, which she brought from her own salary. She is also a volunteer coach of our Community.

She always wished to be TREATED AS NORMAL CHILD. The good thing is that NOW SHE IS TREATED AS A NORMAL CHILD BY HER FAMILY. The only problem, which is not yet solved, is the PROBLEM OF HER MARRAIGE. She wants to marry and want to live happy life.

The next girl is “B”. She had many traumatic experiences, which she had personally shared to me in her counseling session. Her wish is to MARRY and to GET SOCIAL SECURITY.

She explained me that her parents told her that you are SPECIAL and you CAN’T MARRY. She further added that one man in her building tries to sodomize her, touch her and use bad words. That man told “B” many times to come with him to his house.

“B” is a brave girl is not special from mind. My question is:
How any one can tell this situation if he/she is special?

Though she is borderline student but I guess she is a normal child. She thinks, she evaluates every thing and Understands many things.

Firstly, she went to her aunt with whom she lives. Her mom is always busy in her work and her father is not alive. Her aunt ignores this serious issue. “B” wants FREEDOM OF SPEECH. She wanted to express her feelings. Many denied the serious issue, which she was facing.

I counseled her. She was taught how to handle such situation in future. I went to her aunt and asked her how she can tolerate this serious matter. I told her family members that she is also normal and she also needs freedom of speech. Her family now treats her in much better way than before. “B” her self told me,
“I am not mental. if that man try to touch me again, I will not leave her and would insult her in front of every one because I am not MENTAL RETARDED”.

She also wants to marry in her life but still her family doesn’t want to talk about this matter.

What changes were brought in her life?

Now she knows HOW TO HANDLE THE SITUATIONS. She is MORE CONFIDENT. She ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN COMMUNITY WORKS and lastly, she is getting education which is funded by OUR COMMUNITY.I have counseled her for several months on many issues. I have taught her how to be brave and I have told her how to ask for her rights.

Am I insane? Who am I? Where I am? Why me?

The questions were spoken by one of the next brilliant student of mine “C” who is again a “borderline” child and had many wishes to go on. But because of NO JOB PLACEMENT for him and NON SUPPORTIVE FAMILY, HE DECLARES HIMSELF AS A MENTAL, ILLETERATE, USELESS CREATURE ON THE EARTH. I taught her since 7 years and he is a true friend of mine. The problems, which he is facing in the community and society, are:

Firstly HE WANTS TO GO ABROAD. His wish is to see the world. Even though his family had been many times abroad but never took him with them because in their view their child is MENTALLY RETARTED. Secondly HE WANTS A GOOD JOB. Thirdly, HE WANTS TO TRAVEL BY BUS INDEPENDENTLY. He also wants to laugh and wants his family to love him. He wanted other to make him friend. He also wants to participate in sports.

HE WANTS TO REMOVE THE TERM “SPECIAL” FROM THIS SOCIETY.

I still remember that when “The world Trade Center” was abashed and I didn’t know this news, this guy came to me and told me that,
“Did u hear the news that in New York America there was a blast in The World Trade Center?

This sentence shocked me and I asked her how u knows? He told me that I saw it on TV and sharing with you that why people are creating such riots in this world this is bad.

Are these words ever spoken by insane?

    Never.

He is normal. I declare it and I mean it.

He is normal and perfectly all right. I asked him who entered you in our community special school?

He answered me that her mom admitted her in special committee.
He told me that he is not special and he doesn’t like his parent for this kind of behavior towards him.

He want to start his own business for that he asked many times to his family to help him and to the community people as well but no one showed him positive gesture for help.

    WHAT I DID FOR HIM?

I taught him the jute work on bottle. He did that and started selling it in our community and in this way, he started his own small business. He wanted to participate in sports. I taught him badminton and bocce and by the grace of GOD, he participated in ALL Pakistan Special Sports in the year 2003. He needs a friend and he got me as a friend and many of my other students whom I give religious studies in our community also talks with him humbly and love him very much.

Now whenever he meets me, I see magnificent smile on his face. He wants just one thing that is the support from his family, which is still missing. He wants to sit in bus.

Now, He earns around 20$ every month from his jute bottle work. When his family came to know about it, they threaten him not to do so because according to his family its an insulted work and they don’t want him to sell his hand made decorated bottles in the market. His big brother has slapped him too, but still he is struggling for his rights and selling his bottles.

I want to ask every parents in this world that if their child is normal, can also think, can imagine every thing, then why community and family pressure is still in every society creates a barrier for them?
They don’t have their own world of thought. They are also the part of us.
I, as a human being and a social worker tried to find work place for “C” but WHO WILL FIND A WORK PLACE FOR OTHERS?

What little change I have brought in his life?

Now he is selling decorated bottles hand made and he has gained a lot of confidence. He participates actively in social functions and he feels himself as a normal being.

Our community is very supportive responsive, careful and being the part of this community I would like to say that though there are many community problems they are facing, but still I am trying my best to help them.
“Individual problems can be resolute easily but what about the problem of special people instill to be addressed worldwide”.

One more student “D” who starts using drugs because of the carelessness of his family. He was not special but just because of the changes in his behavior; his family took him to enter the special school. His dream was to STUDY IN A NORMAL SCHOOL but his family shattered it. He wanted to work, but he was discouraged by many community people and in social gatherings by commenting him as a mental. He is now 20 years old. Changes that I brought in his life.

I met his family who co-operated with me and now he is studying in the normal school in class 6. He is actively participating in community service and he is now also the member of WORLD SCOUT. Great thing is that HE IS NOW LIVING A NORMAL LIFE.

Now moving towards another brave hero who wants to become the Indian actor in his life.

He is talented, Brilliant and active. He LOVES TO DANCE, TO SING SONG AND TO PLAY ORGAN. He knows, how to cook food and how to prepare bed for sleep and many more things, but he lacks social gatherings. His name is “X”, who lives his life actively. His dreams are unlimited…

    WHAT I DID FOR HIM?

I taught him organ. I taught him singing. I listens to him and I am proud that now he is able to communicate
In social gathering with much more confidence.

There are many other students whose life was changed by little efforts of my community service. I came to know many of their problems and have tried my best to work for it.

WHAT HAVE I ACCOMPLISHED? HOW HAVE I MEASURED THE RESULT OF MY WORK?

    · I have tried my best to identify the problems, which they face in their daily lives.

    · I have tried to motivate my students to participate in International Events.

    · I have tried to counsel them and their parents.

    · I have resolute much of their problems.

    · I have tried to bring smiles on their faces

    · I have tried to find out work place for few students.

    · I have raised their issues in front of MINISTER FOR SPECIAL PEOPLE AND SOCIAL WELFARE FOR PAKISTAN, MISS ZUBAIDA JALAL, in the seminar organized by our community.

    · I have tried to aware my community by participating in debating issues and by writing awareness articles.

    · I have seen remarkable changes in behavior of some special students.

    · I have seen positive gestures of the society towards them.

Though I have not accomplished every thing but still I have accomplish some thing.
I have also tried to aware my other students gathering in religious education center and in my private tuition center about their rights, their expectation from the society, their dreams etc.
I taught my community, my students, their parents to be with them and to listen them. I have sit with special people to make them feel that they are also the part of our community.
I have Chitchat with them why??
To make them realize that they are not alone that we are here to listen them.
I have walked with them shared my feelings with them
Obviously this work is innovative and I have also gained a lot while bringing changes in their lives.

I never want to get reward for my social work because I know it’ll receive it from God one day.
My work was never appreciated but personally, I am satisfied thyself by bringing change in their attitude and lives.

ALL I WANT IS TO RAISE MY VOICE INTERNATIONALLY FOR THEIR RIGHTS; FOR THEIR FREEDOM; TO SHARE WHAT THEY WANTS; I WANT TO SHARE MY EXPERIENCES; THE PROBLEMS THAT THEY ARE FACING AND WANT TO GIVE MY IDEAS HOW TO REDUCE THESE PROBLEMS.

I am just waiting for the platform to raise my voice and I wish that this international competition would help me to share my feelings with other delegates soon.

This work is innovative itself. Meeting different children, couseling them, meeting their parents, asking about their needs, loving them, caring them, thus every thing was magical and innovative. It has made me aware about their problems, about their needs and this work has changed my whole life too. I have tried my level best to work innovatively but My efforts would be more innovative if these ideas would be implemented by every community by joining hands with me as these ideas could only be possible to be addressed, if every society, every community will join their hands with me.

    · Inclusive education should be made compulsory in every school as the part of their curriculum.

    · Awareness campaign for student’s parent’s teacher should be raised in every community.

    · Their needs should be addressed.

    · Awareness should be made through telecasting movies and drama on their issues.

    · SPECIAL students should not be called special.

    · Competition should be raised in every community for younger students to make them aware about them and their rights.

    · They must get rights to study in normal schools with special needs.

    · Government should setup new curriculum for them.

    · Psychological testing should be made compulsory to identify their needs and area of attention.

    · They must get work place opportunity, which is lack in Pakistan. They must get jobs in government institutions also.

    I CAN IMPROVE MY IMPACT,

    · By participating in international competitions to raise awareness.

    · By participating in awareness campaigns.

    · I want to do more courses. I want to study more about them and I want to write a book named as
I Adore Special People Why don’t you? In order to aware this whole world about their rights.

    · By developing new curriculum for them the national policy level.

    · By providing them educational facilities and social justice.

    · I can improve my impact more by raising funds for them and by finding more work place opportunities for them.

    · By becoming the Ambassador for Special People in Pakistan.

    · By truly implementing the human right laws, made by UN.

    · By motivating them more enthusiastically.

    · By making them participate in more International contest.

    · I am now planning to design a teaching curriculum which will be integrated with audio visual aids and I also want to arrange workshop for community students teacher parents every one to aware them about their problem

They respect me and also I have seen a big difference in their attitude towards special people. I am making impact on my teacher with whom I teach. They love me and my work.

Youth must also devote their time to listen and care for special people. Youth must help me to find work place for them. Youth must be aware everyone in their own families and their rights. Youth must try to sought out the problems which they are facing. Youth must love them and respect them like I do, in every aspect of life and must learn something from their lives. Youth must learn from my experience that my struggle is the struggle of one and if they join hand in hand then no matter what, special students can also become part of our lives.

  • No one else will ever REALLY know what it is like to be in your shoes. No matter how much they love you. No matter how much you try to explain or get people to see. There is an internal alchemy that happens for each of us that takes all of our experiences, thoughts, feelings, events and life circumstances and cooks them down into your own unique path, your own philosophy and sense of life purpose…the evolution of your own, personal human journey.

It’s true. Belief in a Higher Power aside, where humans are concerned, you are the ONLY one on YOUR path. You are the only one who can go where you are going, ultimately.

Don’t let wanting the rest of us to understand (or worse yet, wanting the rest of us to give you permission) deter you from going where you know you need to go. Give us permission not to get it. Maybe we don’t get to define YOUR happiness.

Be brave enough to be willing to defy our attempts to define you. Be willing to transcend our categories for you even when you mystify and frustrate and confuse us. Our confusion is not your problem.

What I am saying to you is not a small thing. Some of you may be feeling REALLY uncomfortable right now and some of you are hoping against hope that I am just some woo woo flip chip dishing out New Age rah rah “follow your bliss, do what you love and the money will follow” slogans.

Nothing could be farther from the truth.

I’m consciously embracing my own human journey. Including coming to terms with my mortality and the mortality of those I love more than I have words for. Some days that really bites. Some days it’s bliss. Somedays I’m in my game, money is flowing, birds are singing and all is well with the world. Some days a big boulder or 6 blocks up the flow and I get anxious and neurotic and lose faith in myself and feel like a big old sham. But I know enough to stay on the path because there really is no where else to go (unless I want to convince myself that nothing really means anything and my highest state is all about hitting a rockin’ clearance sale at TJ Maxx and having a home with curb appeal.)

If you made it this far in this article, I’ll assume you aren’t married to those superficial values any more than I am (although I certainly love a good sale from time to time). So, lets just be honest.

This is a difficult journey we are on.

It is inevitable that you will feel pain. You will feel misunderstood. You will question whether life balance really exists for anyone and whether you are capable of experiencing lasting happiness, particularly in relationships and career. It is inevitable that even the closest, dearest people to you WILL disappoint you. (They are the ONLY ones on THEIR paths, after all, so there HAVE to be times when you are out of sync with each other.) It is impossible that anyone else will ever feel the full ramifications of what it means for YOU to be fully, completely human in this life. No matter what, you are the ONLY one who will know your WHOLE story.

The question is, are you willing to immerse yourself in this story you are creating? Not everyone is. In fact, I think most are not, I am very, very saddened to say. Are you willing to really feel every delicious, rapturous, painful, awesome, challenging, inspiring, boring, frustrating, catastrophic, delightful, frightening, humbling and passionate experience so that YOU will know YOU were here and what it meant to be YOU…here…now…in this place in history…in this place in the world…in this particular body with all it’s flaws…in this family…in this career…in this life?

Have you created the space for yourself to pay attention?

There are so many books and coaches and tips and tricks out there to help people de-clutter, organize, become more efficient, meet more goals more quickly…do the bigger-better-faster-more thing so we can have it ALL and look good doing it. Lots of folks take a really intense pride in being able to multi-task at levels that leave their peers in awe. (hey, I was one of them) The busier the better. World needs savin’? No problem, I’ll get right on that!

(Let’s face it: There are folks who won’t have made it this far in this article because reading this just takes too darn long. We’ve become addicted to sound bites and bullet points so we can live our lives like one never ending series of hit-and-run accidents.)

I am continually amazed by how often I observe people adding to their lives. It’s as though as soon as 1/2 hour opens up (yeah, right) that an hour’s worth of commitments are made to fill it. There are times it appears that some folks have developed an aversion to having space in their lives. It is simply WAY too uncomfortable.

Now, some of that may be pure conditioning. We get used to running at a certain level, so we do. We just can’t sit still when given the chance. You try, and you think you want to, but in 5 minutes you jump up, “oh, just let me return that phone call real quick.” “Let me just toss that load of laundry in.” It IS uncomfortable to be still if you are used to running all the time.

There’s nothing wrong with you if that is that case, it’s just what your body has been trained to do and it will take conscious effort and a willingness to be uncomfortable to change this habit.

Some of this may be avoidance, however. If I spend all my time making sure that everyone is happy, settled, doing the ‘right’ things on THEIR paths (according to me and my infinite wisdom regarding what will be in THEIR best interest now and in THEIR future), then I can be blissfully unaware of my own stuff. I can’t really pay attention to my own life if I’m filling it with YOURS! (Think about this, do people REALLY drive just as well when they are talking on the phone at the same time? They honestly think they are! It’s the same thing…am I really living MY life in the best possible way if my eye is always on everyone else’s choices?)

Seek Mastery in YOUR life. Master what it means to be YOU…fully and completely. Explore every nook and cranny of your complex, unique gifted self. Because no one else has walked your path no one else can give your world what you can.

Martha Graham said it so beautifully:

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening, that is translated
through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this
expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any
other medium and will be lost.
So whether your actions are performing surgery, creating art, writing a letter to a loved one, baking bread, managing a project team or parenting a child this holds true for YOU…whether you are paying attention or not. Please pay attention. You are a non-renewable resource.
