It is reported that yoga is one of the fastest expanding business, not in India, but USA! How this industrial expansion and the modern gadgets gradually built up the levels of stress is experienced by everybody. In metropolitan centers and now even at the district levels, there is lots of business scope if you desire to open and run a stress management center.

Even if you are an ideal family, both of you plus two children, each one of you has different types of stress. The stress of your teenager son is entirely different from the stress of your teenager daughter. Your individual stresses are different. That means, in one family there are four candidates ready for taking admission in your stress management center.

What should be the basic syllabus of your stress management center? You need to appoint expert counselors, a yoga teacher, a teacher who teaches perfect art of meditation, and an open space for doing light exercises. It is preferable for you to have the center in the outskirts of the city or even in rural settings. If you can provide a residential course, it would be more appropriate.

People would be happy to get away from the maddening crowd of the cities. Fresh milk and green vegetables are available in cheap rates, as compared to the cities. And people would like to live and enjoy the greenery.

You need to carefully divide your students depending upon the level and type of stress.
The types of stress vary from individual to individual and from profession to profession. Women, generally have domestic types of stresses. You may have to tackle the physical, mental and intellectual level of stresses.

As the head of the stress management center, you need to give pep talks as well as information filled lectures for the benefit of the students as well as your teachers. You need to maintain your own confidence levels, as the students will look forward for a role model in you. You need to have adequate knowledge of yoga and meditation. In short, you should be a jack of all trades as far as stress management is concerned.

The important stress management tools are medication and yoga—the physical exercises are part of it. If these two departments work well, your stress treated patients are your best advertisement. More and more people will join you, because the stress levels all over the world are increasing.

The investment part of creating a new center is also not high. In rural set-up, it would be much cheaper.

WHAT IS CREATIVITY?
Creativity – the use of the imagination or original
ideas, esp. in the production of an artistic work.
That’s how the dictionary interpret creativity. Mine is different. Probably not much,
but still different. To me, creativity is the ability to choose 1 MOST RATIONAL
SOLUTION out of hundreds or thousands other for a problem.

I’m not saying the dictionary is wrong, but I’m saying that creativity isn’t limited to
scientists, musicians, artists etc. For example, Thomas Edison is creative because he
invented the light bulb. But, Mahatma Gandhi is also creative because he found
peace without even using violence. See the difference?

HOW TO BE CREATIVE?

Some people are just born with this gift. Others don’t. But it will grow on you if you
let it. Just remember these 3 words will ya?

Imagination, patience and confidence.

Let me explain briefly how they work. Your imagination is what will find all the
answers you need. Add a little information sources (e.g books, articles, newspaper
etc) and you’ll have every answers at your fingertips. Patience will help you browse
through each and one of these answers and analyze it in each and every angle
possible. Confidence will help you choose THE BEST answers and make THE BEST
decision. Does it make sense now?

These are the key to unlock your creativity. Creative people know about these, only
that they’re not very conscious of it. Remember these 3 words and you’ll find the
creative side of you bursting out like mad cows.

So often we hear people ask the question, “Why does he/she/they treat me/us so badly?”. The honest answer, in most cases, is “Because you let him, her or they!”

If that seems too simple an answer, think of it this way. You make a date for lunch with someone new. They arrive twenty minutes late, citing traffic, office hold ups, the weather, their car or their kids. Of course, things do happen to detain even the best intentioned person. You accept the apology and have a lovely lunch. The next time you have lunch with this person, they are thirty minutes late. Aha, there may be a pattern developing. What do you do?

Unless you do not mind this behavior, you then have the opportunity to teach that person how to treat you. Good communication skills come into play. You can say something like, “One of the things I’ve found works for me is to be honest with people. I really enjoy your company and would like to continue meeting for lunch. I know things come up at the last minute and sometimes traffic can be horrendous. I’d like us to agree that either of us can leave if the other is more than fifteen minutes late? Would that be all right with you?” This clearly communicates what you need and want without ascribing blame. It builds relationship when you make clear agreements with people. Would it be all right with you if an employee came to work consistenly one-half hour late? No, there is an agreement about the starting time, isn’t there? The same is true of our own time.

One of my favorite quotes comes from John Powell. In his book, The Secret of Staying in Love, he wrote that “the genius of good communication is to be totally kind and totally honest at the same time.” I repeat this quote often to remind myself how to approach teaching people how to treat me. If I do not tell the truth about what works for me, I cannot expect another person to honor and respect it. Learning to teach people how to treat us takes practice.

You may still have folks who have been in your life for a long time who take advantage of you, treat you poorly, or are angry, abusive or violent. A habit has been established and they may like it a lot! Consider telling them the truth about how their behavior affects you and what changes would make the relationship feel more respectful and caring for you. Be both honest and kind. Be prepared to have to repeat this information consistently over time. It is sometimes “inconvenient” for these folks to remember that you have now stated your preferences. They may not want to change. Holding these boundaries also requires attention on your part. Once you have asked for the change, you must insist on it or consider giving up the relationship. Both of these tasks take positive self-esteem and self-confidence.

Relationships worth having are mutually respectful and responsive. Think about how you might like to apply these thoughts in your daily life.

So, how can you succeed online without ever experiencing the feeling of failure?

Is that possible?

Let’s find out…

What are you currently working on? What are you trying to accomplish with your online business right now? Do you have a goal that you’re trying to accomplish?

Let’s look at the two possibilities.

When you accomplish your goal, what has really happened?

You’ve set your goal and you’ve successfully accomplished it. You feel good about yourself. Your self-esteem is higher. You’re off to the next project.

The formula looks like this:

Set Goal Accomplishment = Success

But!

When you fail to accomplish your goal, what has really happened?

You’ve set your goal, but you’ve failed to accomplish it. You don’t feel good about yourself. You start to have negative thoughts about yourself. Your self-esteem is lower.

The formula looks like this:

Set Goal – Accomplishment = Failure

How can we fix this so you never experience the feeling of failure?

Let’s explore the possibilities.

Even though you didn’t accomplish your goal, did you learn anything from it? What do you think was the biggest reason why you didn’t accomplish it? What was the problem that stopped you?

Whatever it was, it was something that you would have not learned otherwise. Don’t you agree?

Hence, the formula now becomes:

Set Goal – Accomplishment = Failure Lesson Learned

Now that you’ve discovered the reason that caused you to fail, dig up some resources and gather some intelligence that would help you find the solution or solutions for the problem that stopped you from accomplishing your goal.

Armed with this solution or solutions for the problem, you now enjoy a double chance of accomplishing your goal.

Go at it again and DO NOT REPEAT the same mistake.

Let’s just say that you have failed to accomplish your goal again.

What do you think was the biggest reason why you didn’t accomplish it again? What did you learn from this second failure? Was it another problem that stopped you?

Whatever it was, it was something that you would have not learned otherwise.

The formula now looks like this:

Set Goal – Accomplishment = Failure 2 Lessons Learned

Again, look for more resources and gather more intelligence that would help you find the solution or solutions for this new problem that stopped you from accomplishing your goal. And then go at it again but DO NOT REPEAT the previous two mistakes.

Let’s just say that you have failed for the 3rd time.

The formula looks like this:

Set Goal – Accomplishment = Failure 3 Lessons Learned

Now, the number of lessons learned doesn’t really matter. Does it?

As long as you’re not repeating the same mistakes over and over, you’re always gaining a different experience. So let’s eliminate the number from the formula. The expression “Lessons Learned” is already in plural form so the number in front of it is not really needed.

So the formula now looks like this:

Set Goal – Accomplishment = Failure Lessons Learned

OK!

Now.

Are you seeing what I’m seeing? Have you really failed?

You haven’t accomplished your goal yet but you’ve accomplished something else that you would have not accomplished otherwise. What have you accomplished?

You’ve gained a first hand experience. A very valuable experience. Yes, you haven’t accomplished your goal yet, but you’ve learned a very valuable lesson or lessons that you would have not learned otherwise.

You know, you can learn from your good experience and teach others what to do, but you can also learn from your bad experience and teach others what not to do.

Have you ever seen books titled: “The 10 deadliest mistakes in ……” or “The 5 things you must not do ….” or “Six Marketing Mistakes” and such?

As long as you’re not repeating the same mistakes over and over, you’re accomplishing a tremendous wealth of badly needed wisdom gained from a first hand experience that you need for a continuous success.

So the formula actually looks like this:

Set Goal – Accomplishment = Lessons Learned

You WILL accomplish your goal through a constant persistence. But don’t forget your lessons learned from each failure. Each lesson learned is an accomplishment of its own. It’s your checkpoint.

You’ve gained an understanding from your first hand experience that you were going a wrong way. You need to take different roads. If you continue on the same road (making the same mistake over and over), you might never arrive to your goal.

But when you constantly fine tune yourself after each failed attempt, constantly seek a solution for every problem and apply that solution in your next attempt, you would eventually accomplish your goal.

Each failed attempt is a baby step, an accomplishment and a step closer to your day that you would start walking.

Discover Clarity through Contrast

Clarity of your desires is one of the most important steps in manifesting what you want. For some, this process may be difficult or frustrating. For others, the process of getting clear about their vision comes easily. Here is a tool that will assist you with this process and support you in getting clear about what it is you desire.

The most helpful concept that I have discovered for myself over the last few years has been the concept spoken by Abraham-Hicks. This message teaches us to embrace contrast;a concept that took some time for me to understand. Clarity through contrast? You bet. How is it we can know what we do want without experiencing what we do not want (contrast)? It is through contrast that we experience what we don’t want. Contrast is essential in supporting us to make a decision.

Bring to mind contrast that you may be experiencing in your life right now. Notice how easy it is to identify what it is you don’t want. That’s contrast. Using this contrast, formulate your thoughts to see what it is you do want.

As I experience contrast in my life, I have learned that when I use it to get clear about what it is I do want; the contrast begins to turn to desire, and it feels better. When I don’t use the contrast to help me get clear, the contrast becomes resistance. After spending some time getting clear about what you do want, I suggest you prepare a Desire Statement. A Desire Statement is just that — a statement about your desire. It may be helpful to use phrases in your Desire Statement such as: “I’m in the process.” or “I love knowing…” etc.

Things will flow much easier to you once you are clear about what you want. Remember, the Universe delivers to you what you give your attention and energy to, not necessarily what you want.

If you do these simple exercises, you will undoubtedly experience the powerful Universal Law of Attraction. Having your desires clear and articulate will result in a smooth, quick manifestation. Decide today that you are willing to see contrast as a tool and use it to birth clarity in all your desires.

Michael Losier, a Law of Attraction Trainer and author, supports people in understanding and practicing the Art of Deliberate Attraction, so they can have more of what they want and less of what they don’t. Michael has been applying the principles of Law of Attraction for many years and enjoys a wonderful and rewarding life in the city of Victoria, BC, Canada. He facilitates a number of in-person Law of Attraction seminars as well as Teleseminars to a worldwide audience.

Here’s the great challenge of life – You can have more than you’ve got because you can become more than you are.

I have found that income seldom will exceed your own personal development. Once in a while income takes a lucky jump, but unless you grow out to where it is it will go back to where you are. Somebody once said if you took all the money in the world and divided it among everyone equally, it would soon be back in the same pockets.

However, you can have more because you can become more. You see, here is how the other side of the coin reads – unless you change how you are, you will always have what you’ve got. The marketing plan won’t do it. It’s a good plan but it won’t work without you. You’ve got to work it. It is the human effort that counts. If you could send a sales manual out to recruit – wouldn’t that be lovely?

The major thing that makes the difference is what YOU do.

In order to have more, you need to become more. The guy says “If I had a good job I would really pour it on, but I have this lousy job so I just goof off.” If that is your philosophy you are destined to stay there. Some people say if I had a lot of money I would be really generous, but I don’t have much so I’m not generous.

See, you’ve got to change that philosophy or you will never have “the lots of money”. Unless YOU change, IT won’t change. Amazingly, however, when we throw out our blame list and start becoming more ourselves – the difference is everything else will begin to change around us.

Whether your cleaning business has 2 employees or 20, it is important that your staff works together as a team. Working together as a team helps to create a more positive workforce, is valuable for sharing ideas and energy for problem solving, and provides more bodies to share the work and responsibilities. Even though your employees may have specific jobs and responsibilities, they realize they are contributing to the overall success of the business by being a team player. Being part of a team helps your employees feel they are a part of the “big picture” and not just there for the paycheck.

In order to have a successful team, you need to start with an effective team leader. Your role as leader is to make sure the team has the means to get the job done. The means can be supplies, training, equipment or just general support so the team members can perform the tasks they need to. As team leader you need to:

Help each team member reach his or her potential Develop each team member’s talents through proper training Have trust that each team member will do their best Feel comfortable delegating assignments and trusting in the decisions made by the team members Break down any barriers that exist between individuals becoming effective team members Effectively communicate with the team members

How do you hire employees that will make good team members? When hiring employees look for character traits that suggest the individual has good interpersonal skills. Individuals should be willing to fulfill their team responsibilities and not get hung up on individual contributions to the team effort.

How do you build your team? A team is a group of people who are working together as a group. Use team-building techniques to improve how the group of employees work together. To build your team you need to:

* Set goals and priorities

* Create a task list and decide the best way to assign those tasks

* Examine how the team should work together to carry out assigned tasks

* Look at the relationships between the people who are on the team

Holding team building workshops or training exercises can promote better cooperation among employees, increase communication skills, and help to remove conflicts.

The team leader plays an important role in keeping the team motivated and on track. Coaching is an important part of the team leader’s role. Your employees will contribute more to the overall team effort if you coach them to make the best use of their strengths. Use the following principles when coaching employees:

* It is important to know the skills and strengths of each employee on the team.

* Employees should be coached, not told what to do. Coaching helps them to develop their abilities and helps them to understand how to analyze and solve problems.

* Provide specific feedback, be supportive and encouraging.

* When coaching, ask questions that encourage employees to find the answers such as, “What problem are you trying to solve?”

* Let the individuals on the team know that you have high expectations.

How do you motivate your team? Once you have your employees working together it is important to motivate your team to achieve team goals and not individual goals. As teams learn each individual’s skills and weaknesses they will discover ways to do tasks faster, which leads to cost savings. These savings can then be passed along to team members in the forms of rewards or bonuses.

Give rewards such as pay raises, bonuses, and recognition, to individuals that engage fully as team members. Examples of effective team behaviors include: training others on the team, sharing information, working to resolve problems and issues as they arise, and mastering new skills to help the teamwork more efficiently.

Once you have your team in place your employees will share a sense of camaraderie. Being part of a successful team is a satisfying experience and helps all the individuals on the team feel like they are an important part of your business. Grow your business and your profits by making sure that all of your employees feel like they are a part of your “team”.

When Betty Eadie was 31, she died in a hospital after undergoing surgery. What happened next has been called by some, “the most profound near-death experience ever.” Betty journeyed to a beautiful world beyond this life. She met Jesus there. Jesus gave her a message to give to others when she returned. These quotes from her books, Embraced By The Light, The Awakening Heart, and The Ripple Effect give a glimpse of her profound experience. Part XI

“…this crazy mind-boggling world is ours. We chose to come to it, and we chose this period of time in which to come. Many of us were among the strong ones, ready and determined to come and bless this world in these chaotic times. Now’s our chance.”

“God never uses his love to hurt us. To do so would countermand his own law of judgment. ‘Do unto others as you would have them do unto you…’ So he will never let us down, will never forsake us. His love is extended to all, and he knows exactly how to reach each person…”

“The spirit speaks a universal language, deeper and more powerful than voice. It communicates accurately and clearly, piercing through mankind’s ignorance or false understandings and recognizing each person’s true desires.”

“‘Love one another,’ Jesus had said. ‘If you can do that, all else will be fine.’ Setting an example of love, and knowing that no one has the answer for all, gave me greater focus and vision for his will in my life.”

What are the most important personal attributes for business success? Ambition? Drive? Ruthlessness? Self-confidence? Lust for Power? Intelligence? Expertise?

None of the above.

According to Tim Sanders’ new book “Likeability Factor,” being likeable outranks all of these. Research shows likeable people have the best chances of being hired, promoted and rewarded. Customers are more likely to buy from those they feel good about — even if they aren’t offering the best deal. Bosses who are liked get better performance from their staff and fewer problems.

On the other hand, the kind of boss who provokes fear rather than warmth produces poorer results, higher employee turnover and more breakdowns. Tough, abrasive companies trap themselves in an atmosphere of constant anxiety, mostly because nobody will cut them any slack.

If those who live by the sword, die by it, those who live by being more abrasive than the next guy get the same treatment in return.

You can prove this for yourself. If you had a chance to put one over on an unpleasant, domineering colleague, boss or supplier, would you do it? In a heartbeat.

Likeability counts, believe me. Here’s how to increase your own.

1. Practice being friendly and open with others. First impressions truly matter. If you’re seen as approachable and fun to be around, people will seek you out.

2. Focus on the other person, not on yourself. Self-centered people aren’t attractive or likeable. If you genuinely concern yourself with others, you’ll be swiftly rewarded.

3. Be yourself. We’re all born with a highly-sensitive “phoneyness” radar. Unless you’re an Oscar-level actor, people will sense immediately if you’re simply playing a part. You can’t be likeable if people don’t trust you. If you don’t like yourself enough to stick with who you are, why should anyone else like you?

4. Slow down and take time with people. Time and attention are gifts of immense value. Give them freely. Likeable people have endless time for others, regardless of how busy they are. Unpleasant people only have time for themselves.

5. Talk less and listen more. Ever been in a room with a boorish, nasty type? Who talked most and listened least? True listeners find themselves in the center of almost any group because that’s where the others want them. We all like good listeners.

6. Always be polite and courteous. However mad you feel, stay friendly and open. Anger destroys all attractiveness.

7. Develop your sense of fun and humor. Have you ever heard anyone criticized for being fun to be around? Or avoided because they make people laugh?

If all else fails in times of stress and crisis, remember this: stay quiet … and forget about it afterwards. If you keep your mouth shut, you won’t say things you’ll regret. And if you don’t hold a grudge, you’ll be free to start again without a lot of baggage.

Friendly people have lots of friends. Friends who will speak up for them, help them in tough times and watch out for their best interests. And, best of all, people who will forgive their mistakes and overlook their weaknesses.

That’s something we all need.

When your there becomes a here—you again believe there is better than here.

This type dichotomy is common in Western thought. Charles Percy Snow believes that Western society has become an argument culture. “The Two Cultures”, as developed in The Two Cultures and the Scientific Revolution (1959). Snow believes the breakdown of communication between the sciences and the humanities is a major hindrance to solving the world’s problems. Snow posits the quality of education in the world is on the decline. He points out that many scientists have never read Charles Dickens, but artistic intellectuals are equally non-conversant with science.

Deborah Tannen posits, The Argument Culture (1989), that the dialogue of Western culture is characterized by a warlike atmosphere in which the winning side has truth (like a trophy). In this type dialogue, the middle alternatives are virtually ignored.

Eastern thought, particularly, Buddhism says that all human problems arise from not accepting ‘what is.’ As the Serenity Prayer says, “God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change—the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” Author unknown

Everything can be changed faster and easier when we first accept ‘what is’ and then begin to make a change.

Fighting against ‘what is’ sets up a power struggle between you and ‘what is’—which means that you are focusing on what you do not want, rather than on what you want. “If you understand, things are just as they are…if you do not understand, things are just as they are.” Zen proverb

Accepting ‘what is’ is the most important thing you can do for yourself to improve your self-esteem and have peace of mind and a positive attitude in life. Accepting ‘what is’ does not imply, passively allowing your future to be determined by others, but is the salient deep understanding that the past is inexplicably past and cannot be changed.

By accepting the past is past, you free yourself from guilt and allow yourself to take action to create your future in a new fashion. You cease wasting energy over past events and you accumulate that life energy (libido, Chi, prahna…). Thus, you can achieve more of your God-given potential which even if not infinite is much larger than any of us imagine.

If you cannot accept ‘what is,’ start with accepting that you are not accepting ‘what is.’ Firmly and emphatically state—“I do not accept what is.” Thus, starting a cycle of acceptance and slowly you will discover that you can accept ‘what is’ and move beyond that paradigm.
