Struggling With Spiritual

Time Saving Truth from Falsehood and Envy

Image via Wikipedia

I have wrestled with this thing called your spiritual side for many a year. When someone would say to me, you need to get in touch with your spiritual side I would close down. I was brought up in a strict religious, church going family. I started rebelling against the church when I was a teenager, so when someone said I needed to get in touch with my spiritual side; to me they were saying go back to church.

Now for me that was not an option. I had tried going back to a few different churches and I could never find one that I felt comfortable with. A few years ago I started re-reading the Bible, it had been at least forty years since I had even looked at one. I guess I picked up one that had been changed, because it was saying things that were different than what I had been taught as a kid. Of course it was the same bible that my folks had given me when I was about fourteen. I guess maybe because I was just reading it without any preconceived notions, or maybe because I read the whole thing and not just the selected parts.

Relationships That Are Dangerous

Mental Health

Image by Forty Photographs via Flickr

Relationship dangerousness in women’s eyes is often too narrow of a definition. Often women equate dangerousness only with physical violence. If he hasn’t hit her, then the relationship can’t be ‘dangerous’ to her.

Women’s relational harm that happens in dangerous relationships can include:

* Emotional danger and damage
* Physical danger and damage
* Sexual danger and damage
* Financial danger and damage
* Spiritual danger and damage
* All of these kinds of danger and damage to her children and family members as well

Old Town Scottsdale in Scottsdale, Arizona

Image via Wikipedia

It’s a simple question with a complex answer. I’ll go first. My parents moved to new Jersey when I was five. I eventually went to college in New York and finally moved away after my mother died. My father had already been up in Seattle with a new family he started when he divorced her years prior. So, other than a few friends. I had no family keeping me there anymore. I suspect that most people are where they are because of: friends, family, their job, they like it, and it’s familiar. But, if they are like I was, they where there because of circumstance.

Yet, as we age and can choose the place to live, we are reluctant to change. Even with horrible weather, crowded malls, awful traffic, or rural surroundings, we stick with what we know. I don’t always understand why a person in Buffalo would put up with yards of snowfall year after year. Or someone in southern Florida watching for the next hurricane? Or the Midwesterner awaiting a slew of tornadoes?

The Secret to Attracting Abundance

Personification of thought (Greek Εννοια) in C...

Image via Wikipedia

Do you have all the money you desire? Are you just making ends meet living from paycheck to paycheck?

You can have a life of abundance. It can easily come to you if you know how.

Having a job I adore, a loving relationship, and the life I desire allows me to be lead through example. It enables me to show you how to attract what you desire into your life, just as I am doing in mine.

My life wasn’t always this great. I have had a lot of hard times and experienced more than my share of tragedy and heartache. It wasn’t until after my children had grown and moved away that I would discover what many other people already knew.

If you desire abundance, you must see abundance already in your life. Sound a bit ridiculous? It really isn’t. Let me explain.

In order to attract abundance, you must first have an abundance mindset. If you change your thoughts, you can change your life.

In the last part of this series, we discussed the negative levels of consciousness. In
this part we will briefly discuss the positive levels of consciousness. It is important
to take an honest evaluation of where you currently are and what needs to be done
to move on to the next level of consciousness. It is harder and harder to accomplish great
things and realize the accomplishment of your dreams and goals until you are able to
transcend the lower levels of consciousness and begin to move in the positive realms.

The western (front) side of the United States ...

Image via Wikipedia

There was a time when most American children were expected to grow taller than their parents. Since the early 20th century, children and adolescents grew about an inch and a half taller every 20 years. But recent height measurements suggest that the average height of Americans has reached a plateau.

Data collected showed that the average height for Americans has stabilized in the past 50 years to about 5 feet 9 inches for men and 5 feet 4 inches for women. The reason is that most Americans now face few nutritional or health-related stresses in their youth. People experience the most height increase as infants and then as adolescents. Most Americans have avoided disease and eaten enough meat and milk in their youth to grow taller and reach their genetic height potentials.

Every day, we are posed with various challenges in respect of the duties we need to perform to achieve certain tasks. To achieve those tasks, we have to break the ultimate goal into smaller parts. This is reduced to the daily – TO DO List.

Certain tasks are very easy for us to perform whereas some may be very challenging. These can be further divided into a) Important & preferred b) Important but not preferred. The real challenge is at Part b), where we need to apply some mental effort in overcoming our own mental unwillingness.In order to perform that our subconscious mind creates a defensive strategy for justifying : “Why Not To Do List”.
