Nothing is working, what should I do? Have you ever had that unsettling thought? What happens when you wake up and nothing seems to be working in your life? There is no immediate crisis, but you feel “out-of-step.” Now, because you are a “doer”, you will begin to take a mental inventory of your relationships, job, family and personal life. You will be checking to see what has changed. What has caused the life that was fine yesterday, to look unappealing today? Your mind is racing, your pulse is rising and you begin to make a list. “This will solve the problem,” you tell yourself in between fits of scribbles. “If I take action, and do more, the noise in my mind will stop. If I make a list and then check off the items one by one, I will be satisfied. I will be happy.
As a Life Coach, I am a great believer in taking action to move forward in life. In fact, I would say that action is one of the most powerful tools that human beings have to change their experience of life. Action is the root of progress. There is nothing more powerful than an intention rooted in a personal desire, combined with actions taken in line with that intention. However, there are times when action is not only a tool in our toolbox that we use to achieve our goals. Action becomes the goal in and of itself. In that case, we are not taking actions. Instead, actions are taking us where we don’t want to go. Too much action for the sake of “doing,” can result in fatigue and disillusionment.
The problem that we are having may not be in the realm of doing, the problem may be the microscope through which we view our lives. Are we focusing too closely on each detail? Perhaps the lens is a little dusty. Why does a life that once looked vibrant and colorful, become gray? Is there something wrong here, or, are our “doer” instincts robbing us of the simple neutrality and rejuvenation that could be found through surrender to these gray moments in life?
In general, “doer”s are not comfortable with a lot of gray in their lives. In fact, by our nature we may see gray as boring, static, listless and dull. We like to have a plan, a list of things to do and a well-worn appointment book. We have learned to thrive on the “doing” of life and get high on the accomplishment of our goals. Sure, we know how to throw out little pearls like “trust the process” and “smell the roses” but we’re not taking any chances. We’re hedging our bets by getting out there and making things happen through our ability to “do” “do” “do.”
And, let’s face it, our ability to take action moves the human race along. It took a group of “doer”s to fight for Civil Rights and it will take even more “doer”s to solve the problems this world is facing now. But what happens when all we know is the realm of “doing” and then one day, “doing” stops working? We have become so used to the “doer” mode that we no longer remember that we have options. When faced with challenges or emptiness we forget that we can take a breath and a break. Or, if we do stop for even a moment, the stillness makes us anxious. We are afraid we will be stuck there forever. We “do” more. “Why do we not trust the process of life to help facilitate change?
If you ask for advice from a non-”doer”, they may suggest that you simply “be.” This sounds to the “doer” like such nonsense. They may be smiling at you and nodding in agreement, but inside they are incredulous. ‘How do I “be?” In fact, can’t I “do” a little something, while I “be?”’ How long does one have to “be” before getting back to the business of “doing?” This creates a kind of circular thinking that I have found to be ineffective and downright upsetting. After working with many clients who struggle with this dichotomy of “doing” and “being”, I have learned something. When they are in the gray zone, they can only see through the filter of “doing.” They need a reminder in language that a “doer” can understand, that can help them out of the mucky “do.” For someone who is most comfortable in the realm of action, (even if it means spinning their wheels) “being,” is doing something. In fact, it’s probably one of the hardest skills the “doer” will ever learn. And, it is one of the most powerful skills if employed at the right time. And now, these are some ways that I help my “doer” clients to take a breath, and “be.”
1. Take an “Action Vacation”. Tell yourself that you are not going to work on your weight, your job, your relationship or your life for one whole week. When your mind wants you to work, work, work. You tell it that you are on an “Action Vacation” and that you will get back to it next week.
2. Tell one person how you are feeling. A spouse or friend is preferable, but I have found that waiters, bus drivers and car wash attendants all have the facility to listen. You may get many reactions. People are uncomfortable with discomfort and they may try to fix your problem. Their reaction doesn’t matter – what is important is that you express the feelings and don’t feel the need to explain why.
3. Take a walk. Somehow physical activity has a way of quieting the mind. I like to listen to music when I walk, because this allows me to shut out the incessant chatter of my “doer” brain, but complete silence may be your preference.
4. Take a long hot, bubbly bath. This is the oldest trick in the book, and it works.
5. Write down everything that is going on in your head – fears, anxieties, questions and thoughts. Read it over and over until it means nothing or until you are rolling around on the floor laughing at yourself.
6. Read a self-help book. Some people call them “shelf help,” because we buy them and leave them on the shelf. Go to your bookshelf and choose one. Or go to your local library and find something that makes you feel good when reading the book jacket.
7. Do something you never allow yourself to do. Watch T.V. in the middle of the day, skip your exercise class and have an ice cream. Take a nap with dirty dishes in the sink.
8. Visualize. Lay down in a quiet place and relax every muscle in your body one by one and then begin to create pictures in your head. Create what you intend to have in life. Maybe you want to visualize your own peace of mind or, perhaps you want to visualize turning your problem or issue over to a higher power. Visualizing is very powerful even if the images are not clear in your mind. There are some wonderful books about visualization that can take you step by step through the process of visualization. One of my favorites is “Creative Visualization” by Shakti Gawain
9. Open a book of prayers, daily thoughts or meditations and read the page that you happen to find first. There are three books that I use for this purpose; Simple Abundance by Sarah Ban Breathnach, A Course in Miracles and Illuminata by Marianne Williamson. Each approaches life from a different and profound perspective.
When you are not in the gray zone, add to this list and delete anything that doesn’t work for you. Over time you will create your own personal “doer’s guide to being.” When you begin to feel the impulse to look for solutions – things to “do”, tell your mind that you appreciate its input, but that you have chosen to “do” something else right now and let that voice fall away. Remember – it takes practice to shift from “doing” to “being” at will. But even a few moments of “being” will rejuvenate the “doer” in you.

One of the greatest weapons God ever gave us was our mind, our tongue, our ability to hear Him and to be led by Him. Ever Word of God will not return void. How are kingdoms subdued and enemies overtaken? With the word, with belief. The children of Israel didn’t enter the Promised Land because of one thing…. was it idolatry? no. Was it immorality? no. Was it greed? no. They didn’t enter in because of Unbelief.
Just imagine if you will what we CAN enter into WITH belief! The Word says, “I pray that you might know the height, the breadth, the width and the depth of the love of God that is found in Christ Jesus.”
That you might KNOW, that you might BELIEVE, that you might THINK and breathe and walk and speak the very Word that brought all things into existence. Be renewed in your MIND. Let the transforming take place in your MIND. THINK on these things. LET the Word of God dwell richly in your mind. FIX your eyes on Him.
BELIEVE- OUT THINKING your opponent will get you much farther than even skill or strategy!
I say to go to where the plunder is, where they say it’s impossible, I say it is POSSIBLE.
Go to where they have said it is impossible.. Where they say it cannot work, I say to go and work.
Where they have said God doesn’t move here, this is not where it can be, I say go and it shall be.
Where they are not working, go and do work.. where they are not active because of laziness, a lion in the road they cry- bring The Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and spring up a new well. Where they are not, you go and bring the power of One who is and is alive and well.
Believe, they that BELIEVE, nothing shall be impossible to they that believe.. pray for more belief, pray for more measure of faith, for that which is of faith is pleasing to me. Do not seperate your faith from anything and I will be pleased to be with you in all things. Nothing shall be impossible for those who believe. The works that Jesus did, I will empower you to do those greater works. Show your faith by your works and I will bring greater works.
It’s raining today! Raining promises, raining blessings, raining peace and joy and love and patience!
The Holy Spirit searches thruout the earth- who will believe, who will believe, who will believe.

It is a fact that most people who begin the process of manifesting will give up before they have even reached their first creation. Regardless of how small it may be.
Many people start with huge desires and are often highly likey to fail.
Creating and manifesting is an art to be learnt and you will need all the help and energy you can muster to get you through the tough times.
Here is another very SIMPLE technique but putting it into practice is always a problem
I teach this technique to all my clients and work shop participants and most almost always stop using it, forget to use it ot cannot be bothered.
It is staggering how many people chose not to use proven techniques that will help them achieve their dreams. Of course this is one of the main obsticles nad the trick that all the books and work shop leaders do not tell you. MANIFESTING TAKES TIME AND COMMITTMENT it will not happen witjout intention and passion. And guess what, we do not always have the time, committment or passion at our fingertips, so we need support and help.

here is a breif description of EFT
Many in the medical sciences are now realising that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses. Our bodies become locked into actions and patterns that trap emotional disturbances, creating trauma and tensions. Emotions and physical symptoms become interrelated, creating pain, discomfort and depressed states of mind. What had been discovered is that these conditions can be lifted by a deliberate shift of energy. First, we recognise the cause of the emotion that is creating our problem and then disrupt the patterns that have formed to allow fresh, positive energy to flow. In the words of Gary Craig, its founder, EFT, is an emotional version of acupuncture except needles aren’t necessary. Instead, you stimulate well-established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable. It requires no skills and involves no medicines or medication. It simply requires your attention and a willingness to participate.
• EFT is a simple procedure that helps to eliminate and reduce all kinds of negative emotion.
• EFT will also work for many physical problems.
• EFT involves focussing on the problem at hand and tapping on meridian points on the body and hands in a particular sequence. These are the same meridian points used in acupuncture.
• This has the effect of freeing blocked energy, which, in turn, relieves the symptoms of stress and discomfort.
You may suffer from recurring headaches, or a cold that never seems to go away. You may regularly spend more than you should and feel guilty but unable to do anything about it, or feel angry at someone’s behaviour but feel unable to say anything. These and many other symptoms and anxieties are the outward signs of emotional stresses and they are a form of misplaced energy. They can be released by displacing that energy. That is what lies behind the movements and actions in an EFT sequence. This sequence of actions subtly stimulates key meridians which then shift negative energy patterns, creating relief from physical and emotional pain.
EFT is a practical method for developing instant awareness of your physical and emotional restrictions. It works best when you examine the cause of a particular anxiety or complaint and construct a genuine passion statement describing how strongly you feel, which recognises the cause and which then releases you from any blame or guilt that you feel. When you carry blame around, or a feeling of being responsible for things that haven’t worked out, you must recognise and experience that emotion. Don’t mask it and pretend it’s not there, acknowledge it and work this into your passionate set-up statement. The secret in using EFT is to get to the real feeling behind a symptom. This is developed into “the set up”, a passion statement that brings out real feeling about the symptom you are trying to work with. This is a key issue in freeing up your ability to create.

Careful Caution
You must take complete responsibility for your own emotional and physical wellbeing. EFT has not been proven clinically so therefore consider this work to be experimental. Nevertheless, thousands of people benefit from using the technique; it is direct, simple and effective in bringing your attention to the links between mind and body.
The full Basic EFT Recipe consists of 4 ingredients, 2 of which are identical. They are:-
1. The Set Up
2. The Sequence
3. The 9 Gamut Procedure – you should read the full EFT manual for a comprehensive explanation of the Gamut point.
4. The Sequence
• Tapping is done by using the index and middle finger pads.
• Tap for about 7 times on each point, tapping quickly.
• Tap firmly to feel the vibration of the tap, but do not hurt yourself.
• The only point you will rub is the ‘sore spot’.
(1) The Set Up Statement
While you rub the ‘sore spot’ (see diagram on the EFT website www.emofree.com) you will make a statement that describes and tunes into the problem. This statement should really mean something; it should reflect your passion, your frustration and sheer anger at this symptom that still niggles away inside you. Say it out loud and shudder with the emotion is releases:
“Even though I’m indecisive and waste time, I appreciate and accept myself completely”.
“Even though I can’t stand being spoken to like that but do nothing about it, appreciate and accept myself completely”.
“Even though I am absolutely sick of having colds and making myself ill, I appreciate and accept myself completely”.
“Even though I can hear myself whining about having no money to spend, I appreciate and accept myself completely”.
Don’t worry about your set-up statement, think about your problem and say your statement out loud. Make your statement in your own language and do not try to make it sound better: ‘Even though I am sick to death of John, I appreciate and accept myself completely’. This is not the time to be polite, so say it like you mean it.
You follow the set-up statement with a short reminder phrase that keeps things easy and simple for you, but also keeps you focussed on the problem. If you’re set up statement was ‘Even though I am sick to death of John, I appreciate and accept myself completely’ your reminder phrase might be ‘sick of John’.
Check how you are doing with your problem and give the problem a number at the outset. Ask yourself how intense it is for you. Ten is very intense and 0 is not intense. In the example above, if you were very angry at John and were feeling very intense, you would measure 10. When you have done the EFT sequence check again to measure how much you have reduced in intensity.
(2) Quick EFT Sequence Guide
i. The set up – repeat 3 times: “Even though I _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ I love and accept myself completely” whilst rubbing the ‘sore spot’.
ii. The Tapping sequence – tap about 7 times on each point:
EB, SE, UE, UN, Ch, CB, UA, Th, IF, MF, LF, KC.
iii. The Gamut Procedure – continuously tap on the Gamut Point whilst you perform these 9 actions:-
1. Eyes closed
2. Eyes open
3. Eyes hard down right
4. Eyes hard down left
5. Roll eyes in circle
6. Roll eyes in other direction
7. Hum a song for 2 seconds
8. Count to 5
9. Hum a song for 2 seconds
iv. Repeat the Sequence again – tap about 7 times on each point as number 2 above.

Do millionaires work harder than everybody else?
Are they luckier than everybody else?
The answer to the above questions is a big NO, but do they have a secret that helps them make lots of money – they certainly do. Most millionaires would not consider it a secret, as they are probably unaware that everybody doesn’t possess this secret. That is because it is something that comes naturally to them, which is the ability to think focused money thoughts, and they are certain that they will achieve their desires.
It is not outer conditions that control your life, but rather inner conditions. By inner conditions I mean how we control our thoughts. Let me give you an example, how many people complain that they haven’t got enough money, no money to pay the bills, no money to go on vacation this year, no money for a new car. What are the focusing on – their lack of money. Guess what turns up in their life, yep a lack of money. It happens every time, and in fact it is an exacting science called quantum physics.
No what about the millionaires. They don’t believe in a lack of money. Now you may argue that it is easy for them, as they have money already, but the fact is that they believe that they can always obtain money, they just set their mind to achieving this goal, and they do it with certainty. There is a lot of evidence of millionaires that have made a mistake and lost their money, but because of there mindset, they come back, and usually end up better off than where they were previously, and all because they have this certainty that they can obtain as much money as they desire.
The Good news
This secret doesn’t belong to a select few. Anybody can change their mindset and achieve the positive energy required to obtain health wealth and happiness. It is not easy and that is why everybody is not a millionaire, but if you can focus your thoughts and energy on what you desire, you will achieve health wealth and happiness. On the other hand if you continue to focus on what you do not have, it is certain that you will receive more of the same.
We are not talking about meditating on right thoughts all day. If you can concentrate fully on what your intentions and desires are for a minute, a couple of times a day, you will see a dramatic difference in your circumstances. The important thing is to eliminate the ‘wrong’ thoughts. If you increase your thoughts about desires and intentions, and decrease your thoughts about what you don’t have, need, want etc you will be amazed at the difference it will make.
I hear some people screaming at me, you don’t know my circumstances, and that is true, but what I do know is that there is nothing stopping you from concentrating on your good intentions and desires for a few minutes a day. Only when you learn to concentrate on what you desire, and not on what you do not have, will your circumstances improve. I would suggest to you that there is no difference in effort between thinking right and wrong thoughts. The difference is the emotional energy that you associate with each thought. If you can focus your emotional energy on what you desire in life with certainty, it will manifest itself.
More good news
Almost everybody possesses the skills to be able to achieve financial freedom. Do you think millionaires are always the smartest people in society? Again the answer is a big NO, but they have learnt to harness the skill of thinking with positive energy and certainty. Can you do the same, I am sure you can. For the next week, make an effort to focus on your thoughts more. One of the easiest ways to change your thinking is to just observe your thoughts. ‘What am I thinking at the moment’ will focus your thoughts, and then you can correct your thoughts if they are not right.
