Hurricanes and Spirituality

Many people believe that thru spirituality that the human mind and a whole lot of human minds working together can stop a Hurricane? Is it truly possible to stop a wicked Hurricane like we saw in the 2005 Atlantic Tropical Hurricane Season using your mind or a collective of minds thinking; Cool or Dissipate.

And thinking in the vicinity of the Hurricane using a map? Well, some believe it is and what if all the people in the entire country all at once decided to try it? Wow, what would happen then?

We all know that Human intent and will are a powerful force indeed. But can the power of the mind or many minds totally focused at the same time stop or subdue a mighty Category Five Hurricane headed for the shoreline to do devastation and destruction? Many believe it maybe possible and well maybe then we should try.

Maybe science may learn something that many people of super spirituality already claim to know? So, how powerful is the human mind you ask? And how powerful is a mighty Hurricane? Well a Hurricane produces enough power to make a Hiroshima Atomic Bomb every ten minutes, so we are not talking about a little feat.

Yet, still most spirituality folks believe that the human mind is literally limitless. If this is the case then lets put our heads together for the next big Tropical Hurricane before it hits. Please consider this in 2006.

  • Last month I was invited to participate in a charity golf tournament in Las Vegas to celebrate the life of the late dancing legend Gregory Hines. The event was held to raise funds and awareness of the tragic disease that took this entertainer’s life.

Although we were focusing on this serious matter, it was a true pleasure to meet all the celebrities and people whom I would not normally have the opportunity to meet while living here in San Diego. However, what really left an impression with me the most was a conversation I had with Gregory Hines’s father, Maurice.

I went up to him and simply asked this question: “What was it about Gregory’s upbringing that made him such a leader in his art?”

“Well, it’s like this,” began his proud dad in an authoritative manner. “All we did was watch what he loved to do and then encourage him to continue doing it. You should’ve seen his eyes light up when he was only a child dancing for the family. When we put a ball in his hand, he didn’t share the same passion so we simply took it away.”

“That’s it?” I asked in a surprised tone.

“Yes, it’s as simple as that,” he replied. “You see so many people try to push their kids into doing something that they themselves want, rather than supporting their children in doing what they want.”

Which brings me to this topic.

Where could you be right now—or even better, where could you be tomorrow — if you surrounded yourself with a network of positive support to assist you on your journey?

There’s an old saying that goes, “We are the five people that we associate with the most, and our income is an average of those five people.”

If you don’t like the path you’re on, I suggest that you take a look around you to see who you’re associating with. After all, water truly does seek its own level.

“How do we change this?” you ask.

Here’s what I did, and I invite you to do the same.

A few years back, I looked around and noticed that all I did was hang around with other salespeople such as myself. Realizing that I wanted more from my life than to simply sit around talking about the great deal or the money I’d made that day, I sought out a new group of people to associate myself with—people who could help me on my new journey to become an author and motivational speaker. I ran ads on the Internet and in the newspaper seeking new people to associate with and “soak up the success” with, so to speak.

When I couldn’t find such a club, I decided to create one of my own. I called it the Influential Men’s Group. We met once a month and discussed our ideas and plans to make them become realities. Most important, we supported and held one other accountable to see those dreams come true.

As I write this now, I think to myself how grateful I am for all the wonderful people who’ve come into my life this past year. Due to this great group of people, I’ve gone from a business owner/salesman, to a number one best-selling author. I’ve been published with my heroes and industry greats such as Zig Ziglar, Brian Tracy, Mark Victor Hansen, Tom Hopkins, Bob Proctor, Peter Lowe, Cynthia Kersey, Steven E., John Assaraf, Dr. Wayne Dyer, and the internationally acclaimed artist Wyland, just to name a few.

I share this with you not to impress you, but to impress upon you to be careful of what you ask for. You may just get it.

In closing, I ask you once more: Where could you be tomorrow, by surrounding yourself with supportive, like-minded people who truly want you to succeed?

We are the company we keep. Choose your company wisely.

    Best wishes, and keep smilin’!

  • A synergy blend of essential oils can be more effective for getting the results you desire than any single essential oil. The pure essential oils I recommend you use in a blend for promoting feelings of emotional support, include: Frankincense, Bergamot and Atlas Cedarwood

METHODS OF APPLICATION FOR BEST RESULTS:

METHOD 1: Bath ~ Fill your tub with water, add 5-8 drops of oil that has been mixed in a dispersant such as a carrier oil, milk or cream, or a spoonful of honey, swish to disperse in the water. A half cup each of Epsom Salts (muscle relaxant, detoxifier) and Baking Soda (skin softener) can also be used to disperse the oils in your bath water.

PLEASE NOTE: Essential oils are not water soluble you must use a dispersant when adding them to a facial steam or bath and water may cause the oils to penetrate your system more quickly or cause irritation to sensitive or damaged skin, i.e. blemishes, sores or rash.

METHOD 2: Direct inhalation is the method used most in Germany and the one I use most often in my aromatherapy practice.

DIRECTIONS – Dispense 1-3 drops of your pure essential oils blend onto a tissue or cotton ball. Breathe in the essential oil vapors for 30-60 seconds. Breathe in slowly and pause briefly on your inhaled breath. Then slowly exhale, letting go of any tension. Please note: You can also use an air diffuser to dispense your oils for direct inhalation.

Repeat this slow, rhythmic breathing five more times. Aromatic oils stimulate your olfactory nerves which send a signal to your brain’s neuro-receptors, triggering numerous electro-chemical responses.

Research shows that essential oils will remain in your bloodstream for up to 4-6 hours.

METHOD 3: Dispense 15 drops of your essential oil blend into a 1 ounce bottle of your favorite carrier oil, shake your blend well and allow to synergize for 24 hours, or longer as time permits.

Dispense 1-3 drops of your essential oil dilution into the palm of your hand, inhale and apply to heart, abdominal and lower back areas. The oils will enter through the neurovascular gateways located in these areas to effectively trigger your relaxation and healing response to support feelings of emotional well-being.

A NOTE ABOUT CARRIER OILS: I highly recommend pure light coconut oil as the ideal carrier oil. Coconut oil is fully metabolized by the body and, unlike most oils, not absorbed into the fatty cells and tissues of the body, making it an ideal carrier for essential oils to move through the fat cells beneath the dermis and into the blood vessels serving muscles, etc. As well Light Coconut oil remains liquid at room temperature and, because of its light consistency, will not clog skin pores, making it suitable to use on sensitive or problem skin.

PLEASE NOTE: There are many cheap, synthetic copies of aromatic oils, but these are not recommended for therapeutic use. For best results purchase the highest quality oils you can possibly find. Use certified organic essential oils, or oils that have been tested and are pesticide free.

Holistic MindBody Therapy, including pure essential oils, are gentle, noninvasive complementary forms of health care for balancing and synchronizing your body, mind and spirit and a natural, safe and effective way to enhance your health and well-being. Holistic health care may produce satisfying results where other methods have failed. Please consult with your physician regarding serious health concerns and do not attempt to self diagnose.

  • What Motivates You?

As a life-long student of personal development, I’ve attended dozens of motivational seminars, listened to hundreds of tapes, and read untold books on the subject of motivation . I’ve presented motivational seminars. And yet there is one elemental truth that seems often overlooked. That is: no one can motivate you, because you have to do it to yourself. It’s an inside job. And frankly it’s less a function of “doing” than it is of discovering what your natural motivators are. So the key to getting and staying motivated is finding out what excites you. What makes you want to jump out of bed in the morning? What speaks to your heart as well as your head?

Is it the thought of being able to call your own shots as an independent business owner? Perhaps you get excited about the idea of helping people design systems of whatever kind to help them work more effectively and effortlessly. Maybe you hunger for an opportunity to speak to others in a way that inspires and lights their internal fires. Or perhaps being part of a team of people, working together to make great things happen, is what makes your heart beat faster. It could be that you love variety and any environment that generates it.

If your basic needs were met and your mind could freely roam where it chose, what subjects would naturally bubble to the surface? What things naturally generate a sense of energy and ease? What is as natural to you as “falling off a log?” These are questions that begin to tap the root of what motivates you.

In a recent conversation with a prospective client she told me she was thinking of getting out of her current profession as a self-employed professional organizer. As we talked she discovered that what she was really looking for was the opportunity to team up and partner with others to stimulate her creative juices and generate more business. It didn’t mean going back to work for someone else, although that was one option. Rather it was about transforming her idea of the ideal business environment for her. By the end of the call she had a renewed sense of possibility about her career. And she had definitely decided that going back to work for someone else, although “simple” in some respects, would not actually lead her where she wanted to go.

In this day and age when jobs and businesses are changing faster than ever before, when they “keep moving the cheese” (read Who Moved My Cheese? for the full explanation), those who create success for themselves will be those who find out what motivates them and follow that path. It may not mean being your own boss, but even if you work for someone else, it means finding that place where you can most readily apply your innate gifts and talents and use your internal motivational fire to serve others. Once you know what motivates you, your career options are infinitely clearer.

There are many tools and assessments in the marketplace today that can assist you in discovering where your natural motivations lie. Contact me if you’d like more information on those I offer. Or simply begin to pay attention to what gets you excited. Make a list of the things you most love doing and the environments you most enjoy working in. As you connect the dots, a new picture of your own motivators will emerge. And along with them, a renewed sense of the possibilities of “following your bliss”. This week, sit with the question, “What motivates me?” And listen closely for what comes up. You may be surprised.

  • Well if you have not heard of Cosmic Ordering before, you really must have been away on another planet. Celebrities have been jumping on the Cosmic Ordering bandwagon, writing books, having interviews and in some cases attributing some of their success to it.

So for Martians and other less out of the world people who may not yet have heard about Cosmic Ordering, I thought I would write this little article to give you a run-down on what all the cosmic fuss is about.

In 1998 a German author called Barbel Mohr published a book called “Bestellungen beim Universum” which was later re-published in English and called “The Cosmic Ordering Service”. Based on her experiences of positive thinking and manifestation techniques the book became a runaway success and Cosmic Ordering was born. Since then, many other books have been published, describing various celebrities’ successes with Cosmic Ordering and providing further Cosmic advice. The media too has extensively covered it. Noel Edmonds brought it a great deal of publicity in 2006 when he attributed much of his recent success to Cosmic Ordering.

So what exactly is Cosmic Ordering? Well, put simply, it is a technique that uses your personal or spiritual connection to the Universe to manifest whatever you want. It is not wishing; wishing implies a hope for something. With Cosmic Ordering, you place your order and you expect a delivery, sometimes by a specific date. It is not a cognitive, intellectual exercise; it works best whilst maintaining a pure, childlike and innocent feeling and the more crazy and playful the method of requesting the more successful it is.

The actual nature of what the “cosmic connection” is and what the precise definition of the universe is in this context is somewhat unclear and not in my view, really understood, though there are plenty of theories. When Barbel Mohr was asked who received and delivered the Cosmic Orders, she explained that her belief was that the orders were placed with oneself, that at a fundamental level everything in the universe is connected and we can manifest what we want using our Cosmic Energy through what she calls the “unified field”. Her theory is finding some things in common with leading edge research in Quantum Physics.

The important thing to note is that many spiritual commentators recommend it. Many, who have tried it, swear by it. Cosmic Ordering works and that is all that really matters. If you want to learn more about Comic Ordering or try it for yourself, there are many books to choose from or you can now go online and visit “The Cosmic Ordering Site” where you can get a guide to placing your own Cosmic Orders or if you choose, simply come an visit us and place your Cosmic Orders online.

To learn more about Cosmic Ordering or to place your own thecosmicorderingsite.com/cosmic-order-submit.htm Cosmic Orders online, please visit the thecosmicorderingsite.com Cosmic Ordering Site.

  • I turned 40 this year in January and thought not too much about it, however as the year has progressed I’ve felt like a frustrated 13 year old. What used to work for me as far as the opportunities that would fly my way have stopped. What in the hell is going on I asked myself. So as is my nature I did some research and found out I was going through a mid-life-crisis (MLC).

The changes that generally a lot of MLC people go through and which are misunderstood, can lead to some big choices that can be mistakes.
The cravings for change and a sense of “the grass is greener” can to varying degrees lead one to really shake up the boat and maybe lose a few shipmates along the way. Even little shipmates.

So its change we MLC passengers sometimes pine for, dreaming up illusions of change that may not really be in our best interests and not in our budget.

The challenge then is there are many choices of change. Black and White’ly speaking there’s positive and negative, ying and yang, good and bad, even non action and Action. ‘All is in action with or without your permission in the larger consciousness of Universal Law.’

I can only share that I have been led to a place in my MLC that I believe is the most challenging I’ve had to face in my whole life.

Do I resist the changes because they are challenging therefore causing much pain? Or do I receive the challenge which is really ‘ONLY WHAT I THINK’ will be painful and uncomfortable.

I commit to the challenges and yes they are all for the benefit of greater growth and evolution of being an “authentic me”.
MLC has the opportunity for the passenger to realise their most heartfelt dreams and take the positive steps to claiming them. Answer the age old questions of “what am I doing here” and “what my true purpose is here in (mysteriously) the years I have to live on earth?

Alls well to share this revelation yet I still would love to escape and be backpacking around the world instead, sometimes!

The changes need to happen within me, not to create them from the outside. Then I’m only escaping the truth and the gift of the MLC.

A couple of things I’ve had to change to cope with the incessant feeling of inner anxiety and inner restlessness are as follows.

    • I employed a personal trainer and committed to exercise for a longer limbered life
    • I employed a Life/Business Coach
    • I’ve let go of the fear of financial insecurity to concentrate on what I really want to achieve in the next to last part of my existence
    • I’ve taken more interest in my 8 year olds personal development and researched what he is needing from me
    • I’ve started to look at the beliefs that have had been programmed into me along the way and asked myself what ‘I want to believe’
    • I’m trying especially hard when the urge to run overcomes me to accept that this rather uncomfortable time will pass and there will be a reward for my diligence
    • I’m learning not to “sweat the small stuff”
    • I’ve let go of my family who have SHAMED me and never accepted me for my individuality all my life. (In other words enough is enough, I don’t need anyone in my life who pushes buttons and makes me feel bad) This was a biggie however I now feel a freedom never felt before and this will be explained in a later article MLC Part 2.
    • Knowing this phase goes on for about 5 years I try acceptance and as a chronic control freak all my life I’m learning to let go
    • I’m loving and caring for myself
    • I’m being particular about who I allow myself to associate with, I have a choice

If your on this journey along with me we are the babies of the sixties and inherent in us is the values of those times. Something changed though; the 70’s and 80’s that were so foreign to our values, I personally felt I was born at the wrong time. I am not of the ‘ME GENERATION’ I am an early Indigo child with the idealist Love and Peace for all mankind mantra.

Whether you are sensitive to astrology or not, one who I know and love can proclaim the effects the planets have on our whole system(s) of inner and outer experiences. When we are aware of what our challenges and cycles are as they are happening and with a little knowledge into the future, a sensitive to astrology is left with a confirmation and a knowing sense of safety as to the lessons to be learned and the positive outcomes as a result.

Resistance to growth is the killer, it‘s what causes the pain.

Yet, worse is CONFUSION, double-mindedness and unstable in all our ways.

MLC (Mid Life Crisis) I can proclaim only subjectively was Confusion without the knowledge I’ve gained through, yes, of course astrology.
My proof has been in watching and remember others deal with their years from 39-45.

There’s plenty on the www to support your MLC and maybe give some relief to what the hell is happening here.

By the way there are some fortunate people who stream through these years totally untouched by a MLC, I envy them sometimes and yet, are they out of touch or escaping through making drastic changes outside themselves justifying their actions selfishly.

  • I outline 7 kinds of affairs in my E-book, “Break Free From the Affair.” One affair, “I Can’t Say NO!” is characterized by addictive tendencies. Infidelity (as well as pornography, strip clubs, online chatting, compulsive masturbation, etc.) may be a part of the sexual addiction.

Often the spouse or partner of a sexually addicted person intuitively knows of the addiction and the struggle his/her partner has with the behavior.

The partner often “feels for” his/her partner and is in a great quandary about staying in the marriage or leaving the marriage.

If you are a person facing this dilemma or know of someone who is, here are some pointed questions to help move more quickly through the decision making process:

    1. Do you really want to save the marriage or are you just plain worn out? Does it seem that it would be much easier to just put up and tolerate the crazy kind of behavior you bump into with him? Are you emotionally fried and think of confronting him with your feelings and thoughts of ending the marriage as jumping into more emotional turmoil?

    2. Do you really want to save the marriage or do you think you should hang in there for religious, moral or other “should” reasons? Most spouses who partner with those who can’t say no are very conscientious people. Is that you? Do you want to do the right thing? Are you willing to continue feeling the humiliation and facing the dangers because you believe you should stay in the marriage? Do convictions rather than practical and personal concerns dictate your decisions?

    3. Do you really want to save the marriage or do you believe you should stay to protect the children? Do you think you are the only spouse who can care for the children? (You may be.) Or maybe your spouse cares deeply for the children and is a good parent. (That may be also.) Do you think that ending the marriage would make life immeasurably worse for your children? Do you fear for their welfare if you confront his behavior?

    4. Do you really want to save the marriage or do you see absolutely no way out and are resigned to this marriage? You may experience a powerful pervasive feeling of being stuck. You may believe that you have tried everything and that it is in the best interest of everyone to stay where you are. Couple your weariness with your sense of being stuck and you may tolerate a great deal of disappointment and pain for the sake of the marriage.

    5. Do you really want to save the marriage or do you see yourself as incapable of getting out? Your self-esteem may be at rock bottom. You may think of yourself as incapable of starting over, incapable of starting a new relationship, incapable of making the transition to a new life and incapable of making decisions on your own. It is not unusual for the spouse of someone who can’t say no to lose her sense of dignity and self-respect as he attempts to control, intimidate and dictate.

    6. Do you really want to save the marriage or do you need to protect him? Do you see beyond what is there to him basic emptiness and fear? It’s there and you know it? Perhaps you fear what might happen to him if you do indeed leave? Will he be able to cope? What destructive path might he take next? So you hang in there, aware of his underlying pain and hope some day it will be addressed.

    7. Do you really want to save the marriage or do you live in the fear that if you talk about leaving you will face danger? Perhaps you might face violence? You might face the emotional game playing at a new level of intensity? Does it seem wiser to hold back, not confront, not move toward change for fear of what he might say or do? Do you sometimes feel frozen with fear?

    8. Do you really want to save the marriage or have you given no thought to how you might start over? This is a little different than the fear of starting over. Perhaps your life has been so wrapped around his or the care of your children that you have given little, if any, thought to you. Have you thought of your desires, your skills, your dreams, your hopes and your future apart from him? Or, apart from your children?

Take some time to seriously and thoughtfully address these questions. Once you do, you may experience a new found freedom to act and move in new ways.

  • Fear Be Gone

I recently received an email that prompted me to answer a poll about what I feared most. I didn’t reply to the email because my biggest fear at that moment was the fear of receiving more unsolicited email. However, I did start thinking about the subject of fear. What are we afraid of? What is fear? What can we do about it? We all have fears at one time or another and to one degree or another. I did a little research of my own and found that next to terrorist, fear of public speaking and fear of success ranked high on the list of things people fear most.

    Fear of Public Speaking

According to one survey I read, many people fear public speaking more than death. Although most people are not aware of why they have a fear of public speaking on a conscious level, psychological studies have determined that nearly everyone who has a fear of public speaking experienced some major or minor trauma when they were younger that causes them to be fearful of public speaking as teenagers or adults.

    Fear of Success

Another high ranking and common fear is fear of success. Success means achieving or accomplishing a goal. Success can mean the attainment of wealth, fame, power or whatever you truly desire for yourself. Success is a good thing. Why, then, are so many of us afraid of success either consciously or unconsciously? It is all about how we perceive success.

Instead of focusing on how good it will feel to finally accomplish our goals, we are focused on the negative aspects. Perhaps we have a memory of a successful person who was ridiculed for having “too much money”. Perhaps we remember hearing that it is easier for a poor man to get into the kingdom of heaven or that successful people feel they are better than others. Therefore, we become fearful of what others may say and think about us if we become successful. We often sabotage our own success.

We are not afraid of success itself. We are afraid of what we imagine success might bring with it. We think we might or should feel guilty for having “the good life”. We fear making our friends jealous and think they will no longer like us. We fear we are going to have to work harder to maintain our new status. We fear that we’ll have to pay huge taxes. We fear that people will try to steal from us. We wonder what would happen if we were to lose our fortune.

    A Powerful Emotion

Fear is an emotion and the symptoms of this emotion manifest in each of us in various ways. Some of the symptoms of fear are shallow breathing, sweaty palms, upset stomach, nervousness, headache, inability to speak, inability to think clearly, depression, uncontrollable shaking, inability to moved, and anger. People literally lose their lives and have been known to take someone else’s life out of fear. All of the “isms” are the children of fear – racism, chauvinism, classism, sexism. Wars and crime thrive on fear.

Fear takes away our creativity, imagination, freedom and peace. Fear stops us from pursuing our dreams. Fear destroys relationships and can make us physically ill. These four letters, F E A R, represent the most powerful negative emotion that exists.

And just think, we have all this unhappiness and suffering over something that does not even exist except for the meaning or perception that we give to a person, place, thing or event. Our fears only live because each of us gives our own fears life. The fears we have exist because we nurture them, feed them, and acknowledge them.

    Our Past Stories and Imaginations

In other words, our fears are based on our individual perceptions, and our perceptions are based on our individual stories or histories and our imaginations.

How else can we explain the fact that each of us has different fears and fears to different degrees? For instance, there are many people who love dogs. However, there are also people who fear dogs. Some love snakes and have them as pets. Yet, many others are extremely afraid of snakes and become traumatized at the mere sight of them.

Most of the time, we are not even aware of the stories that our fears are based on. Some of us have anxiety attacks and are fearful over a comment that another child made to us when we were small. In other words, we let a child from our past control our life and health today.

    Release the Fear

In order to release the fear, we must change our perceptions about a person, event or object. Choose to see it for what it is – a person, an event or an object. Many of us fear things that have not happened and may never happen. We cannot enjoy our lives today because we are fearful of what the future may hold. We can choose to release ourselves from the hold that our past stories and our imaginations have on us.

If you are totally immobilized by fear of something, you can always seek assistance from techniques such as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), or hypnotherapy. I encourage you to explore the options each of these techniques provide. Each of them, using their own methods, de-traumatizes past traumas and identify and integrate conflicting belief systems that keep us from doing things we want to do.

In my experience, these types of procedures can bring about relief from fears quickly. Instead of treating the symptoms, as medications do, these techniques and other similar procedures address the cause of the fear.

    A Signal for Change

The positive aspect of fear is that it is a signal for change. If someone were to point a gun at us, in the mist of fear, we would hope that something would change for the better. Hopefully, we would think of some way to change the situation without being harmed. When faced with the fear of the possibility of a child being harmed, parents have found physical strength and mental courage that they did not know was possible.

And so it is with our everyday fears. Let fear be a signal to change or move in a new direction. Move beyond your comfort zone. Perhaps we need more knowledge about the person, place, or thing that is causing us to feel fearful. Most importantly, move toward love. Love yourself. Love everyone and everything. Love is the most powerful emotion. Where there is real love, fear will perish.

We Are More Powerful than Fear

In my opinion, failure to remember who we are in relation to God and this great Universe is the number one cause of fear. Where there is no faith, there is fear. The absence of belief in ourselves and what we are capable of creates doubt and fear.

Yes, there will be tragedies. No, things will not always go as you planned. Yes, there will be people who want to say negative things about you. These people would rather comment on what appear to be your flaws rather than deal with their own. Do not give them your power.

None of us are ordinary human beings. All of us are extraordinary divine beings. Everyone has the power that will not fail, should it be acknowledged and embraced. Sometimes, I have to remind myself of this. I say, “Fear, be gone. You have no power here.” Just by saying these words, it is as if I turn on a light and I see fear for what it really is – nothing.

  • Most of those who haven’t had much success with the Law of Attraction or who haven’t tried to see if it works would have one pertinent question – does the law work?

And justifiably so. Why should one believe in an intangible law which claims to give you everything you want, unless one has experienced it? If the law would hold true, wouldn’t there be more people who have everything they want than the ones who don’t? What is the basis to believe this law works?

Some times people try for almost a year with no success at all. I was one of them. I was full of hope when I chanced upon my first book on the subject – The Silva Mind Control Method. The back of the book read something on the lines of “… people who have mastered the art of seeing in their mind what they want, and then, making it happen.” This line made my heart jump out of my body. I felt this was the elixir I had been looking for. I bought the book and headed home with a heart so full of joy as if I had already manifested my desire!

I read the book, word by word, internalizing every single idea. I didn’t want to miss out on a single concept. It took me a day to devour the content and that was the night I started my practice. My desire was firmly set in my mind. The goal in my head was clear as crystal. Her name was in my blood. She was the world I wanted for myself. A girl from my childhood I’d been crazy about for more than 5 years. I never had the courage to talk to her. But I knew that my love for her was supreme and I could keep her happier than anyone else could. And now I had found the key to make her mine!

Armed with the new found secret, I set to work. I started my visualization day and night, though ensuring not to block the energy by overdoing it. A few months passed by and she yet wouldn’t even look at me when we came across each other in college. But I was not going to give up on hope. I felt the law was so powerful that all it needed was a moment to make things happen. I knew it was planning, conspiring, to get us into the situation we couldn’t get out from. I thought maybe the law will make me save her from getting hit by a speeding car and I will get the much wanted breakthrough!

Well, a couple of years passed by and there was no change in our situation. I lost my faith in the law. Although by then I had already read a few more books like the Power of your Subconscious Mind, Creative Visualization, Think and Grow Rich etc. I wanted to believe it worked but wasn’t being able to. It was not working for me. I gave up the books, wrote a letter to her and walked right up to her one fine day. She refused to accept the letter and broke my heart. The game was over! Now there was no room for hope.

A few days later, I read something in one of these books – the Law only works when there’s mutual benefit for all concerned. You cannot influence someone’s free will by using the law. What it meant was that my intention was wrong but the Law was not.

I want you to read that part again slowly… “the Law only works when there’s mutual benefit for all concerned”… “my intention was wrong but the Law was not.” This marked a major turning point in my Law of Attraction journey. It was a huge mindset change I had to embrace.

Though I thought that I had wasted all my efforts in trying to master the Law of Attraction as it did not work, I did not realize that in the process, I developed my visualization skills, my ability to expect and my ability to concentrate!

But the greatest benefit of this ‘training’ period was that it taught me patience and discipline. I still could not believe that the Law of Attraction did not work, since I felt too let down after all the effort I had put in. But something deep down convinced me that this law holds and that I needed to continue believing. So all the work that I put in was not lost and this helped me greatly as I progressed further in putting the Attraction Law into work.
