There’s an awful lot of discussion about the so called
“Butterfly Effect” going on these days.
Just what is the Butterfly Effect?
It’s simply how making one little change can totally
change the outcome of an event. It’s why tornados can
be so unpredictable. One little change can affect it’s
strength or it’s course. The outcome can be next to
nothing or total devastation, or anywhere in between.
OK, ok, it’s really a complex mathematical equation,
and when minute changes are plotted on a graph, the
resulting image looks like a butterfly. Really.
It is said that the air disturbance by the wings of a
single butterfly is enough to change the weather
patterns throughout the world.
So you’re thinking, well that’s nice Carole – go get
some sleep!
C’mon, I do have a point. Little changes make a big
difference.
Let’s say you started drinking one more glass of
water a day. What would happen? You’re thinking –
“Not much.” If we apply the Butterfly Effect -
Your skin would start looking better.
You’ll wash more toxins and fat out of your system
resulting in getting sick less often.
Your brain would have more moisture enabling it to
function with less effort, and you’ll think better and
have fewer headaches. Getting smarter, you might
even land a better job.
Your other organs will also have more moisture and
function better. You’ll have more energy.
With more energy, you’ll be more active. As a result
of more activity, You’ll lose weight and cut your risks
of serious disease.
Now, what do you think would happen if you added
½ a cup of broccoli every day? Or if you walked 10
minutes more every day? Or if you read 15 minutes
more a day? Or if you put things away when you’re
done using them instead of putting them aside
to put away later?
There are hundreds of little – little changes that
you can make every day that will have a big impact
on your life in the long run.
Think about how you can create the Butterfly Effect
in your life!

We know some ADD-style thinkers who are really good at technical support for computers, which is a great example of a job for someone with ADD. You’re constantly being bombarded with problems you were never trained to solve specifically, but you have to figure things out and make them work. It’s your job. What are people with ADD good at? Ideas–solving problems.
Another example of a good profession for someone with ADD would be that of a detective, who solves problems, solves mysteries, and solves situations where none of the pieces fit together. It might be a perfect career for someone with ADD.
If you have ADD, your greatest strength can be your innate ability to generate ideas.
Make a list of every profession or job you’ve ever had. Don’t write a long sentence; just write down one, two, or possibly three-word descriptions of all the professions or jobs you’ve had in your life. Then, decide where your strengths and weaknesses lie. What do you know? What aspect of those jobs were or are you really good at? Who will pay you for that expertise?
However, ideas really are in excess these days. Everybody thinks they have the best idea. But is it? So many ideas come to you with ADD; how do you know where to begin?
Start not with finding out how you can get paid to use your ideas, but how you can use your ADD idea-generating capabilities to solve other people’s problems. That’s one of the quickest, easiest ways to do.
Basically, what it comes down to is if you have ADD, your brain is probably good at solving problems in a given field, find people who have those problems.
For instance, if you’re a person who is working with things like databases, go to a site like www.Elance.com and put your profile up there. Then, use your ADD idea-driven mind to start solving other people’s problems. Sites like Elance are great places to be hired. People often hire programmers to solve technological problems so they don’t have to figure them out themselves.
Or, what about a financial analyst? How could you possibly get paid twice or maybe five or ten times as much now that you’re no longer a financial analyst and how can this work for you? It’s simple! Just go in and say, “Listen, I can teach you how to cut the amount of time that it takes you to do this and this in your business in half, thus saving you half your time and literally doubling the amount of money you make.
“Here’s the deal. I’m willing to completely take your business apart. I’m going to rework the whole thing and I’m only going to get paid if you think I’ve done what I said I can do. I’m going to charge you $5,000 to do it. I’m only going to get paid if you feel I’ve done every single thing I’ve promised and I won’t even allow you to cut me a check until we’ve already made it happen.” That’s what a consultant does.
Maybe while working your way through school, you washed a lot of dishes to get by. You may know everything there is to know about doing dishes. So, what if you streamlined a restaurant’s ability to do dishes?
ADD can be tremendously powerful when you think about this. Take your experience, your ADD mind, and your ability to solve problems and match them together. You already know that you can speak the language of some of your previous professions or jobs.
If you can save someone time and money, that’s great. Put the deal together and charge a high price to make it happen. The worst case scenario is that you’re going to learn a lot more about how to get it right next time, even if you don’t get a check on your first time around. ADD can be tremendously powerful stuff. Channel your ADD in the right directions, and it can be very powerful. ADD is not a disability. In some situations, it’s a real gift.

Often panic attacks occur for no apparent reason. Their causes are shrouded in mystery. They can strike unexpectedly, suddenly, spontaneously.
That said, panic attacks tend to occur when your are under stress. They can also crop up when you are about to face a situation that you are afraid of, either consciously or unconsciously. That situation could be real or imagined. For instance, you may have a public speech to give and your mind might be working overtime on the (un)likely reaction of your audience.
Your fears and phobias are often your worst enemy. They can trigger a panic attack when you least suspect it, with no advance warning. The first thing you’ll know is that the panic attack has started. Which isn’t a pleasant situation to be in.
Sometimes panic attacks are associated with hereditary factors. If someone else in your family has suffered from panic attacks then there is a higher chance that you will also suffer from unexpected panic attacks.
At other times, life changing situations can bring on the feeling of panic. Often these situations are associated with distress, such as divorce, loss of your job or even moving house, which is said to be one of our most stressful occurrences.
As well as these situations, there are other things that contribute to panic attacks.
Too much nicotine and/or too much caffeine can both work against you. They are fairly easy to cut down on, although not always as easy to cut out completely. Watch out for withdrawal symptoms, especially with caffeine.
Alcohol is another substance that is worth cutting down if you suffer from panic attacks. If you’re out with friends, try alternating between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. If, for instance, every other drink is a juice or a sparkling water, no-one except you will know that there’s no alcohol in the drink.

When you avail yourself of the creative force of the universe, you can solve any problem, step out of any dilemma, and resolve any conflict. The creative force is invincible. It can easily cut through any Gordian knot. What is infuriating and baffling to the mind, it considers child’s play.
They are many levels this creative force works on. It can be an insight that arises from the depths of consciousness in the middle of the night. It can be a law of attraction practice such as visualization, affirmation, or creating a vision board that results in serendipidity or synchronicity. It can be a heart-felt prayer.
Ultimately, this creative force is consciousness itself, also known as super consciousness, quantum consciousness, the Self, the Atman, or God.
When we call upon this creative force, we realize the presence of an unsullied and pure consciousness within us that is omnipotent. It has not been affected in the least by all the peregrinations of your life. It is undismayed by the consistency of your errors. It stands ever willing to help you. It is the epitome of love and consideration. Your limitations are not its limitations. Your imaging of what is possible are not its shortcomings.
In any situation you find yourself in, it is possible to avail yourself of this force. Once you do, you have to let go of how your solution will manifest. Clinging to an outcome, clinging to your imagined sense of control, will prevent it from acting as surely as a dam wall can hold back the mighty power of a huge lake. The solution, when it comes, is always a surprise, and, ironically, it shows up in a very natural and easy way.
The creative force of the universe is the spiritual power within and around us. How we address it is a matter of personal preference. Our mentations about it are not important.
What is important is that we ask for what we want rather than suppress it.
Therefore, choosing to align with the creative force is also choosing to align with the spiritual path.
Those who align with the spiritual part are of four types:
Those who are ill in mind or body. They have tried all the conventional cures and nothing works. If they ask, they will receive.
Those who have a social problem. They are in the wrong relationship, keeping company with those who bring out their worst, or they are unable to earn enough money to meet all their needs. The spiritual path works well for those seeking to improve the quality of their lives.
Those who understand that the spiritual path is of supreme value. They seek deeper understanding of their own real nature and seek to be in tune with the highest level of consciousness. Those who seek, will find.
Finally, there are those who have discovered that they are more than their personalities, and more than their minds and bodies. They are in a state of awareness of their real nature as unlimited consciousness. They do not seek the spiritual path, or ask anything more of life. They epitomize spiritual wisdom. Spirit is their reality.
If you visualize and affirm, you will manifest what you desire. If you pray, your prayers will be answered. However you address the creative force of the universe, it will respond to you. However you comprehend the creative force of the universe, it will reveal itself more to you. When you open yourself up to it, it will guide you; it will be your friend, your ally, your protector, and your supporter. All you have to do is ask and be open to receive and everything in your life will fall perfectly into place.
