“Evolution, Progress, Prosperity… it’s all about braking limitations. Breaking the patterns is the starting point”
When everybody agrees upon everything, than something is definitely wrong. Every new, great idea, when emerges for the first time is in minority. Jesus, Buddha, Muhammad and the “others”, had spoken something that nobody else did. Those men were “pattern breakers”. They had recognized the rottenness of the current situation and started to alter the people’s usual way of thinking. Then, the change of the acting followed, be cause when one sees the thing from different stand point and notices the difference, the old goes where it belongs – to the past, and it’s replaced by the “fresh”. Only then the progress is possible.
Unfortunately, there are always individuals around who enjoy the current situation and who are willing to defend and even fight for Status Q. They object any change that could challenge their position. They feel comfortable and don’t like to be disturbed in any way. Are they to be blamed for that? Well, everybody likes to be fed, sheltered and with other basic needs met. So far so good. As far as they “do something” for satisfying those needs, it’s fine for everybody. They wouldn’t have surplus of energy to challenge others in attaining their basic needs. The trouble arises when they start to enjoy riches that are not direct merit of their efforts. Somewhere on their way they lose the connection and criteria on what is real need and what is luxury, what is actual and what is virtual.
Then, when those for whom the actual situation is not acceptable any longer, would emerge from their comfort of being modestly satisfied (“I’d rather keep my mouth shut, and not jeopardize what I already possess!”. Do you recognize the concept?), and start explore their ways to change it, they feel insecure. Insecurity, in other hand, leads to aggression, which is easily applied. They have the energy (they don’t “earn” all that they possess, remember?), and excuse (somebody threatens their position, right?) to be violent. In their short-term perception, they strive to keep the situation preserved. (Un)fortunately for them, there is no such situation as ‘stability’ except in a laboratory, which the Universe certainly is not.
Let’s rise our stand-point a little bit more. Let’s not take side in this Change-Status Q conflict. Let’s understand that every regular human being is from time to time in one of those situations – striving to change the unacceptable or holding on what finds comfortable. So denying our inability to face the inevitability is not going to help us anyway. Accepting, however is! Acceptance is one of the most powerful methods to speed up our progress. If combined with the Change, it’s leads us to highest Wisdom.
Being One with the Universe, following it’s endemic circles, getting in tune with them, accepting them, but changing the things that we have ultimate influence to, is like swimming with the stream. Swimming against it is also possible, but causes a lot of pain and struggle in vain.
Remember Jesus on the cross and his final acceptance right after the dilemma if left alone by the “father”? Yes, accepting the inevitable is highest form of Wisdom. Not being able to do so is pretty painful. But how to differentiate what is to be accept and what to be changed? Well, that’s quite a challenge. And very personal one. An insight that one must to come up by oneself. There are not shortcuts here. A personal, straight, direct experience is prerequisite. However, since there is not permanent stability, what IS today might be (and will be) changed tomorrow. Live and adjust. And adjusting means change, thus to really live, means to continuously change.
So, when challenged by the “others”, let’s rise above our usual pattern of thinking, acting, living……and see them as ones that are here to speed up our progress. I know, it’s not easy. It requires discipline……and capacity to forgive. But if the life was easy, would we have been able to grow?

Add my name to the burgeoning list of people that Donald Trump has categorized as a loser. Where’s Rosie O’Donnell’s shoulder when you need it? Trump’s comment “Show me someone with no ego and I will show you a big loser” seems like a direct attack. After all, I have been raised to be humble, soft-spoken and overly conscious of other’s feelings. Spiritual writer, Louise Hay, reminded me, too, that I would rather be happy than right. All my life, or so it seems, I have yielded to the wants and demands of my super-ego counterparts.
Sheepishly I have to admit that I thought the Higher Power would reward my unpretentious, almost apologetic manner. Mahatma Gandhi and his ilk would smile upon my meek and modest ways, and advocate for the blessings of the universe to fall in my direction. I would be rewarded for my conscious decision to refrain from the following ego-driven actions: Controlling, if not devaluing others, living with an air of superiority because of job or accomplishments, speaking or treating others in an arrogant or haughty manner, especially to those who are deemed unsuccessful, or boasting about The Car, The House, the Stock Dividends or anything that elevates one’s status in others’ eyes.
It is not difficult for me to recognize individuals who possess an over abundance of ego. From the time that I was a little boy, for example, my uncle seemed very fond of his own voice. A much better speaker than listener, he offered opinions about any subject, definitive this his views and judgments were always right. He consistently acted in a condescending and patronizing manner, seemingly bolstered by the success and concomitant wealth he attained in business. His humor was not good-natured but rather caustic and acerbic, offered to take others down a peg. After all, he HAD to assume the highest position in any pecking order – the equivalent of renting (no buying) the Penthouse because it is considered the best.
It seemed counterintuitive to me that my uncle achieved such success in the workplace. Didn’t his personality grate others? Could I be the only one perceptive enough to notice all his shortcomings stemming from an ego gone wild? As I consider the matter from my perspective now, maybe his ego served him well in Corporate America.
Perhaps his ego galvanized his sense of purpose. Desperate to be a “winner” – one that even Donald Trump would be impressed by – meant that he would make the necessary sacrifices to attain business success. My uncle did work long hours, took work home and assumed great responsibility.
But many of us (myself included) make a myriad of similar sacrifices and are still not on the “fast track,” climbing up the proverbial corporate ladder. But my uncle expected success and many of us only hope that our efforts will be rewarded. His “Trumpesque ego” led him to the belief that no one could do his job better and that his employer was fortunate to have him in their employ. He approached his job with unabashed confidence and it is likely that his employer felt a large of measure of reassurance stemming from it.
Executives running a basketball team enjoy the brashness and confidence of a superstar, exclaiming that he wants to take the last shot in a ball game. Similarly, CEOs and CFOs hire and keep employees who are convinced that they can run with a project – faster and farther than anyone else. Of course, confidence without competence is meaningless.
Another consideration regarding my uncle’s success: Perhaps he did check his ego at the front of his employer’s door, containing his swagger and pompous demeanor. (He certainly compensated for this restraint at home.) In his book, How to Get Rich, Trump writes: “The ego works to keep our conscious and unconscious aspects in balance. Too much either way can be detrimental. No ego means very little life force, and too much means a dictatorial personality.” At work, perhaps my uncle controlled his ego rather than letting his ego control him. I’m sure his co-workers and underlings saw and witnessed my uncle’s unrestrained ego at times but I’m sure the frequency was a lot less than what I observed.
Where my uncle has an overabundance of ego, perhaps I need to infuse and build my own. I want to believe and conceive my success through feelings of empowerment and a healthy ego – not one that is unbridled. Mr. Trump, due to your influence, I declare the following affirmation: “I will not be a loser much longer. My ego is in the gestation process.” How can it not be so? I’m reading your book!

When it comes to having success you hear a lot about the things that need to be done but rarely hear about the things that shouldn’t do. I think it’s important to know the don’ts just as much as you should know the do’s of success. Here are 3 of the don’ts when it comes to having success.
1. Don’t follow the crowd.
If you take a good look at where the ‘crowd’ is going you will see that it’s not down the road of success. To be successful you must breakaway from the crowd. You see, the crowd does things that are safe, normal, and secure. Now this may sound good but to be successful you have to break our of your comfort zone and at times do things that the crowd will mock at.
2. Don’t listen to your critics.
Pay attention to successful people and you will find that they are not easily swayed by what their critics have to say about them. Whenever you become successful you will have people stand up against you and criticize the things that you do. The moment you let your critics dictate what you do in life you will start to lose your grip on success.
3. Don’t give up.
Giving up is the number one reason why people don’t become successful. If you really want to have success you have to continue pursuing it until you have achieved it. It doesn’t matter how long it takes or what obstacles come your way, you must never give up on your goals for success.

Hypnosis is a topic that is so interesting to so many people, but did you know that it has serious therapeutic uses? You can use Hypnotherapy with loads of issues and it can help with tons of different psychological disorders. Mainly people come to see me in my clinic for giving up smoking, dealing with anger and with jealousy. In actual fact I specialise in the area of relationships and issues that might affect them, however people also come for Hypnotherapy for a whole range of other things, such as getting over a relationship or a break up, premature ejaculation, impotence, slimming, stress and confidence. And in actual fact the possibilities are just about endless as to what can be achieved.
So now I want to explain in a little more detail exactly what Hypnosis is. Hypnosis is basically and altered state of consciousness. I liken it to a day dream. Each and every day we go in and out of daydreams all the time. Its funny but we never really know just how ‘far away’ or deeply relaxed we are until someone calls our name or ‘wakes us up’ with a prod! At these times we actually go into a trance and internalise our thoughts, which allows use to create new beliefs and thought processes. For some people when they daydream they automatically visualise negatively and some people automatically visualise positively.
We now understand that whether you daydream negatively or positively, then it can have a major effect on your whole behaviour and belief system.
Hypnosis basically uses this same process, obviously taking you a lot more deeper than your everyday daydream, into a place where your body can just feel so comfortable and relaxed and your mind so focussed on the task in hand. As I have said people come and seek my services for a whole host of different issues and its in this mental state of relaxation and focus that a Hypnotherapist is truly able to help them by giving them suggestions and also allowing their mind to have an opportunity to do something different.
On one hand Hypnotherapy is just as simple as suggesting to that person that they are going to be able to change their beliefs and their behaviours, but also it works with the person to change their overall out look on life and to allow them to think differently about life, to be able to have a tool that enables them to manage their thoughts and their beliefs better. One thing that I like to do in my clinic is to teach all of my clients Self Hypnosis, so to allow them to go away without a CD or a book and actually be able to practice Self Hypnosis wherever they are.
