What is Spring All About?

This April month, I invite you to take a new look at what Spring means.

For most of us who are aging, and even some much younger persons, we may have lost the spirit of what Spring really represents.

It was found years ago that the majority of suicides happened in the Spring! Although it might be surprising to most of us, for these lost souls, Springtime meant they had to face their fears of reconnecting with a new growth, a new sap emerging from the center of the earth.

For most of us, Spring brings a new air, a new growth, new leaves, new actions to do to prepare the garden and the nature’s beauty we want to surround ourselves with. Women are looking for a new wardrobe; a new beauty becomes inspired.

What if we all took a serious look at all the new growth that happens to us on a daily basis?

What if we looked at this new Springtime to do a ritual and become grateful that Mother Earth never forgets to come back, never forgets to create growth, to help all the tiny buds grow into beautiful and magical plants.
What if in spite of the age that shows in so many signs, we all took the time to be grateful for the experience, the growth, the wisdom that hides behind those signs.

Even though we do not see growth happening inside a seed until it is way showing its signs of maturing, we are intimately connected to our own inner growth and may not always allow ourselves to connect with it.

What if you became the inner gardener inspired by gratitude and wisdom to become who you really want to be and become?

In My Beauty & My Beast, Mind, Body and PMS, I have written and encouraged women to stop their three and four jobs and take time for themselves.

How many of you take a time each day to simply BE?

I urge you to rekindle Springtime in each day and become totally grateful for each breath of life that is within you and around you.

Have Fun!

  • 1 Samuel 16:7

“…The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

While I was recently on a technology imposed computer vacation, I evaluated many things about myself. I truly think this is important for every Christian to do often. The world has a tendency to affect every portion of our thoughts and actions if we don’t keep them in check and in line with what the Lord wants for us. One of the things I evaluated was my own character. What exactly is character? Character is defined basically as a destinguishing mark or impression. So if you apply that to yourself, what kind of mark do you leave behind? That my friend is your character.

The greatest understanding of character comes from the bible. The first occurrence I found was in Genesis. The first two humans on earth had only one promise to keep and they messed it up. Not only did they mess up, they lied about it and then blamed each other. Although they failed, Adam and Eve spent the rest of their lives trying to make it up. Character is cumulative. You aren’t born with character, you die with it, it’s something you create over a lifetime of difficult circumstances. All people fall short of the Glory of God and sin. Can you admit that sin? Are you able to accept responsibility for the mistakes that you make or do you place the blame on others? All of these things matter to God; He made that very clear in Genesis and through out the bible.

Our characters as Christians are constantly tested. When Moses led God’s people out of Egypt the Israelites were constantly tested in order to shape their character. The Desert of Sin was an immense and hostile environment. There was no water and no food, and very little faith in the people even though they had witnessed such greatness as the parting of the Red Sea. They told Moses he should have let them suffer in Egypt rather than die slowly in the desert. As always, God provided for their needs in spite of their doubts and grumblings. If you can’t recognize yourself in the Israelites you aren’t looking very deep. How many times does God save us just for us to turn around and complain again?

It is in the testing that our true characters are defined. In 2 Chronicles, Hezekiah was a man that did “what was good and right and faithful before the Lord” during his lifetime he was struck ill and nearly died. This wasn’t punishment, but testing. Sometimes in order for us to see the flaws in our own character, the Lord has to humble even his most faithful servants.

I didn’t really come to any conclusions about my character except to understand that I am still building it. Every day I live is another opportunity to turn to the Lord with complete faith and trust, even when I don’t understand what’s going on. One thing I do know is that when my casket is closed, my character will remain on earth as a testimony to my life, whether good or bad. Then, when I face my Lord at the judgment seat I will not be able to prepare a defense against the people that have hurt me or the injustices that I endured but I will be accountable for every way in which I reacted to them. That’s definitely something to think about.

God Bless and Happy Character Building!

    Romans 5:3

We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

  • Creating Time the Virtual Way

Time. As a small business owner, it’s the commodity you covet most but never seem to have enough of.

If you had more time, you could complete all the administrative chores required to operate your business.

With enough time, you could do more marketing, more networking, more planning and systemizing.

If you had just a little more, you’d be a whole lot less hurried and stressed.

But how on earth do you create more time to do all the things necessary to run smoothly, build business, and create revenue?

The obvious answer is to increase your manpower. But hiring staff is not always an easy or affordable proposition for the small business owner. Fortunately, there’s an outsourcing alternative – Virtual Assistance.

Virtual Assistants provide office support on an independent contractor basis. They primarily serve small to mid-sized businesses who have smaller workloads, need only occasional help, or who don’t have the budget or space for in-house office staff, much less the time to train and manage them.

A Virtual Assistant (VA) works from their own office utilizing computers and other technology to deliver their services and communicate with clients.

They provide just about any secretarial service you can think of: word processing, transcription, data-entry, database management, spreadsheet creation, proofreading – you name it.

Many VAs offer additional specialties such as bookkeeping, web design, desktop publishing, writing and legal support services.

The savings can be huge compared to the cost of an actual employee because there are no payroll taxes or benefits to pay, and no extra office space or equipment needs.

Not to mention that not all employee time is productive (think breaks, sick leave, vacations and other downtime). With Virtual Assistance, clients pay only for the time the VA spends working on their behalf.

That’s 100% productive time; you can’t get more efficient than that!

The Virtual Assistance profession has been around well over 10 years now, and has its own industry associations and certification programs.

Virtual Assistants operate their businesses as professional service providers. They come from a variety of business backgrounds, but the common denominator is that they are typically overachievers with extensive administrative experience and superior skill sets and training.

Virtual Assistants are not temps. They are highly-skilled entrepreneurs who love what they do and in business to provide consistently top-quality work to clients to whom they are committed.

Virtual Assistants are commonly interested in establishing long-term partnerships with their clients. As the VA learns about the owner and his or her business, supporting the client becomes more intuitive.

The ideal is to achieve a very simpatico working relationship where the VA’s support not only instills more efficiency and productivity, but is key to helping the client create more time to concentrate on the roles they love most while growing their business successfully.

Although Virtual Assistants are able to serve clients from anywhere in the world, you can find a VA near you by searching the Internet using keywords Virtual Assistant or Virtual Assistance your city or state.

The Virtual Assistance Chamber of Commerce also provides a great virtualassistantnetworking.com/directory/ Virtual Assistant Directory of qualified, professional Virtual Assistants that can be searched by geographic location and service category.

  • Use your expertise to master success. Whether you realize it or not you already know more about something than most people do. You take your knowledge for granted and discount the value your knowledge holds. Take what you have a base knowledge about and a passion for and build on that knowledge to master success.

Think about how often you pay someone else for their knowledge because you don’t want to take the time to acquire that knowledge yourself. We are a fast paced instant society. There is so much knowledge to know that you can’t possibly be an expert in everything, but you can be an expert in one or more things. Just like you other people will gladly pay for the knowledge you have when it fulfills their needs or wants.

Master success by turning what you know into more value. Take what you already know and love, and ramp it up. Because you’re an expert on the subject you already understand how your knowledge can be streamlined and presented in a concise more user friendly way. Plus you’re aware of how to use that knowledge beyond the obvious.

It takes focus to master success through your knowledge. Focus a certain part of each day building on and expanding on your knowledge base. Help others to know what’s accurate and valuable among all the information that’s available in your area of expertise. Create a system or handy guide that makes it easy for outsiders to understand and use what you know.

Mastering success through your expertise requires that you find a hungry audience. A hungry audience is the group or groups of people that need or want what you have. Figure out how to help them with that need or want based on your area of expertise, and then provide them with a simple concise way to use that knowledge to get them what they want. When you can do that you will be well on your way to mastering your own personal success.
